No joking. I do make in FX but what i make in a few days i can lose in a few hours.

Take today for example. Euro and GBP rose so fast over 180 pips on some pairs and i was short on those pairs SL around 180pips and it got hit while when i make price rises typically say 20-40 pips in my favor before it retraces or totally reverses and i need to change my TP closer.

I think i really am cursed. I feel that a supernatural being/power is making sure i lose.
Did you looked at the FF calendar before entering or keeping positions ? Some great moves were expected today ...

no i didn't i only looked after i saw the freaking price just simply shooting upwards.

You know when you do technical trading they don't tell you to look at fundamentals do they?

Not cursed but blind-sided by the the market. Multiple big news releases. Check ff or investing.com news calendar.

The purpose of a calendar is to have some things to be remembered before they happen ... Looking back will only remember you they happened ...

Looking back the calendar is like a lagging indicator ...

Looks like you have been around for at least a couple of years and yet it sounds like you are not in the habit of checking calendar for red news. That's the first thing you do BEFORE you even open your platform. Hope you will do so from now on

I follow technical trading system why would i look at the calendar when they say it's not neccessary to?

Wow, this thread. Think this is kind of why traders (both successful and not successful) need to spend less time on places like FF. The ignorance here is deafening at times.

Actually yes they do.... most of them in fact, even though it should be common sense. DO NOT trade during news. Some say to trade 30 mins after, some say one hour etc.

What common sense? Please don't come in preaching about this common sense when many tehnical traders don't even look at the time table and important events cos they were not taught to do so.

Do you know that a person has to be taught to look both ways before he crosses the street for example. Isn't that common sense? Yet you need to teach that to a person. You need to tell a child he needs to do that before he crosses the street and that's considered common sense!

Now go look at the trading systems section and then the commerical section. You see ppl advertising and putting up their indicators and methods for download and to learn. Do you see a technical trader tell them look please read the news before you trade that's important. Oh no. Never.

He's somehow supposed to lose money and then finally figure it out and then it's common sense. Oh please.

Wow. Just Wow.

Where do I even start?

1). Technical analysis doesn't work. It's bullshit. Study after study has proved that.
2). Technical indicators by their very nature are lagging indicators. Thus they are useless.
3). Technical indicators don't move prices - buyers and sellers do. Big news events can cause huge waves of buying or selling.
4). If you don't have enough common sense to know that, you shouldn't be trading.

Dude, you're in the wrong game. You need to get out. As someone above said, you have been hanging around FF for a while so you are not a newbie in the strictest sense of the word, so your attitude to this is shocking.
Hi Forex_Fairy. It is no supernatural curse at all. It's absolutely normal.
the first thing to do well in Forex is to have a solid discipline.
Always check High Impact News, ALWAYS. And avoid them if you trade intraday.
Write on a diary every mistake you make, so next time you won't do it.
Try to open positions only where there is room to get many pips (more than the distance to your stop loss) in this way when you'll lose you won't loose more than you earned before.
Do not overtrade, don't trade too much, don't try to get a revenge soon after your loss.
