As some others have pointed out the key to the Quantum indicator's success is avoiding long trends where no reversal takes place. I'm not sure that any indicator can help with this but Genry's ideas, especially GX can shorten the holding period and take smaller profits over shorter periods of time, which reduces much of the risk involved in a big trend and can possibly be just as profitable.
The settings files, therefore are crucial to the success of this EA. They aren't compatible with different versions though.
I would be pleased to keep Genry's EA the focus of this forum thread, since Staxis EA can be monitored at the Russian forum. The third EA, I don't know where it comes from, but it surely deserves its own thread too.
Genry, please tell me if I am being too bold.
In any case I have suspended testing over the winter holidays and will resume in January using my own set files for Genry's EA, on many pairs (I think even trendy pairs like EURUSD can be made workable) and using Staxis EA as a control group. Once I have something that looks promising I will share here.
Best wishes for trading success in 2017!

DislikedI was doing testing on GBPCHF EURSEK EURNOK. These currencies are giving far better results by the order of 2 and 3 times over EURUSD, EURGBP etc. I wonder why? I have not tested EURHUF but am fairly certain that even that will perform better than EURUSD etc.Ignored
DislikedThe QLT1.49 is not using spread info at all. In straategy testing am setting a spread of 10 pips and running. But even if I keep spread at 50 pips, the EURSEK and GBPCHF seems to be doing very well compared to EURUSD,Ignored
DislikedHi Genry. I used 100 pips for EURSEK which is very much realistic in real trading. But it is still massively profitable. It seems eursek, eurnok, eurhuf, eurchf are great pairs for thisIgnored

DislikedHi Genry. Quci question: If I keep the "qdc close" = 2 instead of 24 or 30 or 40 as in the default setting, what is the consequence ?Ignored
Dislikedqdc =2 should mean that the grid will close as soon as it finds profits. Is this right?Ignored
