Hi Everyone i'd just like to start with a thankyou to anyone who reads this somewhat self indulgent post.
This is my forex story so far
It all started on a whim when i sumbled across binary options (24 option as my broker) i niavely thought well that looks easy, i have some spare money lets have a go. After depositing the min £250 the first few "bets" went my way (always putting down the same £24 stake) and i went off to work with a fair degree of optimism.
After returning i got on it again and lost over and over untill i had £100 left, got demoralised and cruised the internet in an effort to educate myself on the matter.
There was plently of decent advise and information out there, and also a lot of self-righteous rubbish. After getting cosy with candlestick charts i settled for my own technique - watching graphs for hours and hours and getting a feel for whats going on.
After this things improved, i still had my losses but not so many - over the next 4 months and a thousand or so "bets" later i had battled my acount from that remaining £100 to £1400 wohoo!
There was a problem though i was working full time in retail and watching graphs full time at home, sleep was sparse and i was steadily ruining myself - i had to make a choice, one was reliable steady income the other wasn't. Binary options had to go.
I withdrew the lot got it no problem no fuss whatsoever & bought myself a sweet kingsize bed and left the game happy that i had won the internet.
I couldn't stay away from the currency pair concept though, i love this game and ive invested a lot of time and brainspace learning all i can about forex - so i put £200 into a spreadbetting account after doing well with a demo.
This seemed much better, so much more control with everything money mangement related, and the option to be as long or short term as you want.... ahh yes ill give this a go.
All the discipline, rules, common sense, general composure went out of the window, i had emotional crap giong on in my life, but nonetheless it was such poor form - overtrading ragetrading getting out with a loss only to see it go very much in my favour after = more rage trading, decisions without research, greed ...... outright gambling.
In not much time my £200 became £20 and i walked away head held low........ but always knowing that i love this game even when its gets bad.
A year or so has gone by and im back. I'm still trying to find my own path, but this time round is much better. I only play with 0.01 lots so its all very much practice. If this account gets blown then its still all for the benefit of education, but that'll take a while this time round.
My overall goal is to eventualy draw out everthing thats been deposited from my bank card and to then play with pure profit. Drawing a living from forex is a fine ambition, but one step at a time.
I love this game
Thankyou all for reading this, please share your own tales i'm very much interested in what you have to say. I dont have a single person in my life system who has even come across forex trading
Not exactly new here but i've never realy given any input to the community and id like to start becoming actively involved
