It will eventually, just not at this stage as price keeps making higher highs , higher lows and no bearish divergence except minor pullbacks from profit-taking.
it's a counter-trend trade if you go short, therefore you need a bearish divergence + a breakout of a trendline or LH /LL...with current condtion, UCAD is not ready for a short yet.

Put a trade in on EJ yesterday and finally today it reached within 2 pips of my take profit of 50 pips so took it out as the h4 bar closed and started to slip back. +43 pips on each one. I am compounding the lot size each day and keeping it at the same risk and forgot to do it on this one and put in a little trade as well to make up the money, so thats why there are 2 trades in there. {image} {image}

As I posted a little while ago I have been compounding after each trade to see how it goes. Following 2 excellent (female) traders, Likica and Lastingwell I managed my best month ever and will endeavour to continue that way. I didn't take all the trades I could have done, by a long long way, just when I have been able to be by my work station, but excellent non the less.

As I have less time on my hands these days I wanted to move properly to a slightly higher timeframe than the 5minute, I find I miss too much otherwise, so I have taken in every nuance of their posts and wow what a difference its made. So my advice is to read thoroughly yourselves if you're still struggling to be consistent.

November stats from my terminal - I have removed all the money amounts as to me they are irrelevant and my business alone, but left the percentages there:

It is well worth putting in the time and effort to read thoroughly those who can trade and not perhaps those who can't trade and who try to say that money management will make you a better trader because if you don't get the direction right it doesn't matter how good your money management is.

EDIT: I forgot to add that thanks to the compounding, that equated (according to my trade explorer) to a 153.7% rise in balance with no trades open.

Thank you very much for the post. So nice to see that someone is actually succeeding.

Interesting comment about female traders, I think that maybe men on average tend to be too aggressive, my issue. The market attracts aggressive risk takers but rewards patient planners!

thanks again

Hi lisat,

I have been using the H4 for a couple of months now, it does seem like more are winning than loosing but tbh i need more of a longer testing period
I am reduced to paper trading atm as a week or two ago my ofshore broker stopped accepting trades from me. They had been warning for quite a while that they were getting rid of all their foreign customers from my country and to apply to the local branch there ..but my passport was out of date now so i need it to be renewed before i reapply ...and now they've stopped accepting my orders ..but i can still log in and see the charts.

i would have taken this trade today i think, but it ended up failing. I would have gone long, here is the chart at the exact time i would have taken the trade.

the dotted red line in the middle is where i would have taken my trade, the 2 other dotted lines are sl and tp

the h4 was hooking up, price was coming off the pivot, pinbar and blue abp closing near it's highs before the tdi bounce. however the trade failed. I am just curious if there is something I did wrong here

Before entering a trade, I would ask myself if the followings are met:
- is current price at S/R?
- where are TDI and stoc? making sure I am not going against dangerous zone (no buys @ oversold, no sells @overbought area), any divergence or hidden div?
- What is price doing going up (higher highs, higher lows) or going down (lower highs lower lows)? or a trendline breakout?

I would not buy EU and buy UCAD at the same time. Look at both chart and compare them yourself, if you can't read the logic by the names.

are you able to read PA from my AU chart? I am having a problem reading PA from yours. You keeps saying something was wrong, I can't see anything wrong and unlucky,,,.if you don't mind, I suggest you change your words if you want to see something bright...and up!

Coming back to AU, You said you would go long but it kepts falling? AU did not fall from what my chart showing. By the way, are you following my trading style? if yes, please make your chart reflecting what has been currently presented in this thread by me. It looks like you try to take in more things and still don't know what to do with what you have.

As they say, everything is easy with hindsight, and I don't trade AU very often because of the very low atr but I would have had at least a stop loss below the h4 candle before as it was only around 40 pips away and that was the reason for the hook up of the tdi and because I have the 1hr 62 ema on my chart, (thanks to Lastingwell) would not have taken out a buy just above it I would have waited to see if it bounced which it did. As I say, that's in hindsight so easier Nothing wrong, apart from the stop loss.

I improved a lot from studying LW's posts, only TDI h4 I adding that I found I don't need it anymore after I learned to read PA well.
