TRADING FOR CHARITY

Hi to all reading this! First off this is a journal detailing my trades for charity. A large portion of all profits above my initial deposit of $2000 will be donated to charity. A small portion will be used to continue growing my account. I am new to trading and am using this as a learning experience. Any profits is an added bonus and will be donated to a good cause! I have decided to start a live journal just as a personal record for trades I take as a means of going back/analyzing my setups and thought processes at the time. My entries are mostly based off of long term low risk s/r zones and candlestick formations.

The only indicators I use are moving averages, along with fib price extensions (if you want to count that as an indicator). Other than that just simple support/resistance lines and trend lines I draw in myself mostly off of the daily/weekly/monthly time frames. When determining when to enter trades that fall in line with daily+ s/r resistance levels I look to the 4hr and hourly charts for more specific entries again based off prevailing s/r levels. Actual entries are made off of the 5 minute chart where I draw all of my S/R lines.

My s/l's vary depending on the entry setup (certain entries require different s/l's due to volatility at the time or varying entry parameters), but generally I try not to put more than 3% MAX 5% of my account at risk at one time. Generally if I see a trade going sharply against me I have mistimed my entry and the s/r level I was targeting did not hold and I will exit the trade (or be stopped out). Once trades have moved at least 20 pips in my favor I move my stops to BE and walk away. If I did my job correctly I should return to find myself up around 50+ pips and the budding starts of a leg to be forming.

Anyways enough talk.

EDIT: Current market conditions are not at all suitable to this strategy and i am stuck scalping for the time being until the choppiness levels out and we start the new year!

Here's is my current and ONLY trade I am holding. I was recently stopped out at a 1.25 eur/usd trade I took the other day. But I am currently holding a long from 1.133 on usd/cad price currently +70 pips. Well see how this one plays out.

ok I have taken several positions in EUR/USD. I have been scaling back into shorts starting at 1.2425 and have another triggered at 1.245 current average price 1.24378. Pending sells at 1.25 and 1.2543. Holding to at least 1.22 level will move stops to BE once my parameters have been met and let them ride.

Thanks! Well see what happens hoping for bit more down retesting bit of support right now @ 1.23827 on 5M and will probably hang around here until Asian session later tonight, then hopefully more down before NFP.

hmm seems content to the range held in check by the fib and the support level. Lets hope the Asians are looking to bring this down.

Also eyeing EUR/AUD setup at good fib support levels and may be poised to move further to the downside... Or of course break out above.
A 1.4820 short would have been a good R/R setup wasn't paying attention earlier today.

don't really like the fact that price is staying above the resistance turned support line now... we may get retest higher before NFP...

still ranging hoping for a pop down before NFP but most likely will range here if not pop a bit higher...wait and see of course... 1.239 resistance seems to be capping a further up move and keeping this pair in range before news.

interesting moves out of GU had a pending short at 1.572 but canceled it prior to it being triggered...wish I held onto it now...1.572 area shaping up to be tough resistance might see a breakout from GU if NFP comes in better than expected. Definitely will be watching this pair closely for any breakouts from this consolidation range we've had the last few weeks.

I decided to TP on half of my trade on my eur/usd short prior to Non Farm Employment numbers. This freed up some equity and also moved my break even point back up to 1.24503. Im anticipating a bounce to the upside and would like to get short from a better position. If I am wrong then I will be looking to add on any downward continuation.
