The only thing is, I did't remember the UK was closed for May day. Duh!

In the bottom right hand corner, I have a connection status. what does that mean? I know green bars over red mean I am connected but, to the right of that is 2 numbers looking like this 9/0 kb. What do those mean? I just cannot seem to stay connected toady and it is really getting on my nerves. I have been on here for about 10 hrs now and have had to restart my computer about 20 times. Everything has been fine til today. Please help

That's the data transfer rate. Most platforms will shut down if the connection is lost for a period of time.

IF you're internet connection is good, you may want to try re-installing the IBFX platform in case there's a corruption.

If it's all demo platforms, then they may have a server down on the back-bone. You could email their support.

If you guys are just demo-ing and not trading live, why not have a backup platform? Go to StrategyBuilderfx.com and load their MT4. Then you can copy you indicators to their folder at
Programs Files/StrategyBuilderfx/experts/indicators That way if one demo is down, you can use the other...

even if you are trading live, it would not hurt to have the backup for the charts.

Thanks Scott

ps, If your charts were to go down on the IBFX live account, you could still use the Demo charts at SBfx and phone the desk at IBFX That way you would not be blind. Redundancy is the key...

Yah, are the IBFX demo servers as bad as the live servers??

I'd hope not.

People with live accounts: Do you have these problems??

For the past few trading days, IBFX servers have been REALLY slow.

Yeah I restarted my computer 25 times today. That is no exaggeration either. I did what scott said. I downloaded strategy builder so I have back up charts. I think I am gonna open an account with Oanda though and just use MT$ from them 2. I have heard alot of good things about Oanda and I want to do a mini account and that would be the best way to do it (I think)
