DislikedHi Rayner, I am in the same trade as you with Gold short at 1228 and have moved stop to entry, this is a new way to trade for me, usually my method is as a scalper, my question is would you now consider moving your stop, and if so where would that be this may seem trivial but I am trying to understand your experience and why you would or would not do something at this stage of price action. green pips to you.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hey piprader, Don't take this the wrong way, but i hope you don't take my analysis as trading signals. The last thing i want is for you to lose money because of trades that do go wrong, because i'm wrong most the time. Regarding your question, yes i've set my gold trade to breakeven as well and i'll cover that trade in this week's market analysis. Cheers! fartistIgnored
Dislikedhi fartist, would like to clarify on your use of stops. If u already have a few running entries and u add on on say h4 timeframe. So your stop would be based on h4 2 ATR? Then if price move in your direction more, then you will put the SL to BE and you shift the other stops lower? But the stops would have different values initially, until the stop of ur other trades is moved down towards the trade which you set at BE? Hooe it's not too confusing. ThanksIgnored
DislikedMy current positions are short eurusd, audusd, gbpusd, gold and long bund Those are the relative weakest/strongest markets and i'll be looking to scale in further. fartistIgnored
Disliked{quote} Hi Mattrix, That's a good question let me see if i can help you with that. Yes i scale in progressively as a trade goes in my favor. I won't usually set my stops align with the most recent trade, wanting to give my trades more breathing room to run. So i may get stopped out of the most recent scale in trade, while remaining positions are still running.. I will typically exit my trade when price trade beyond the moving average or structure. Does that help? fartistIgnored
