Hello,

MetaQuotes Language Editor won't open - tried all these:

Tools, MetaQuotes Language Editor, nothing

F4, nothing

Right click on an indicator, Modify, nothing

What has happened? Is there a file missing or something?

Also searched here on FF and Google the web but nothing specific found...

This is on AxiTrader, MT4, Version: 4.00 Build 646 (30 April 2014)

Try this from your platform : Files > Open Data Folder > then click on the metaeditor.exe to launch the application.

Of course !!! My bad. I am using the \ portable trick so it isn't the same.

So the metaeditor.exe should be in your case in the platform folder. Find it where you installed the platform ...

What I don't understand is why Metaquotes changed the folders path ... That makes absolutely no sense ... on the users side.

What is the "portable" mode? Where can I learn about that?

Well, it's not there ???

The metaeditor.exe file that is, wonder if TrendMicro anti-virus would delete that by any chance?

However I found it in an old install of Vantage folder; copy & paste it to AxiTrader folder.

Now it opens, but shut down always after 10 seconds or so...

What can I do? Re-install AxiTrader?

installing again and using it in portable mode could be a good idea ...
and do not install it in the programs/programs x86 directory ...

There's no need to create a file.

Just use your usual shortcut (ie. on desktop) and set in its properties the ...\terminal.exe" /portable ... at the end of the Target field.
