How the heck do I install?
Hi Johnny, I believe that you need to follow these steps;

1. Open your MT4 platform.
2. Click on File
3. Click on Open Data Folder
4. Click on MQL4
5. Click indicators

And that's it! you paste your indicators in that folder.

I believe that you can only add .exe indicators only.

I must admit I am not the most qualified person to answer your question, but felt I should try and help you out.

What you do is a reflection of you....what I do is a reflection of me.
Hopefully you've made backups of ALL of your mq4 and ex4 files before the updates.

Your old ex4 files should work.

Just don't try to re-compile your mq4's or you might render your old ex4 unusable (unless you made backups prior).

Better yet, don't compile or re-compile any mq4 until further notice or unless you're competent enough to debug and re-code to the new versions on your own.
I'm not trying to convince anyone. I'm not in the "convincing" business.
if you need to recompile old/new mql4-files you could use an older version of the mql4-editor. see http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=470340 for instructions pls.

I tried adding indicators to my platform like how we always use to but when i restart the platform its not showing me the indi that i loaded.
What do i need to do now?

I tried loading the following indies

Anyone can help me to make these indies work on the new platform?

You cannot use the experts\indicators folder from your root MT4 install folder as done previously. Now, all is installed separated in a folder under AppData. As stated above by Ezzy, open your MT4 and perform the following operations to open the right folder:

2. Click on File
3. Click on Open Data Folder

Then restart MT4 and the newly-installed indicators or EAs should appear in the Navigator.

Tried to install new indicators in MQL4 folder- only platform it works on is Go Markets, all the rest, it doesn't work. Even copied again the .ex4 files from Gomarkets I previously installed into all the other brokers- just doesn't work

Just came back to forex trading after a hiatus. This new Metatrader 4 crap is a pain. From what I can gather it is still possible to run the .ex4 files compiled by the older compiler is that correct? Are there any old .ex4 files that will not work with the new builds? What have people done to adapt? Have people given up and moved to other platforms?
