Because I am new, I didn't consider the spread issue.
I would like to take this opportunity to get fellow forumers advise on Ironfx spread. http://www.ironfx.com/en/trading-acc...ads-comparison
Are they provide the fair spread?pairs' spread with "as low as...", and I can see it is "quite low"
When I use DEMO for trading, my strategy cant really gain me profit as their spread eat me out. I start looking at what problem cause my lost.
Finally I found their spread will frustrate during the day...example, GOLD spread during my trade is always 50 pips, whereas in their website they stated GOLD spread "as low as 0.5 pips..."
Secondly I am bit confuse when to put a SELL STOP order to forex pair, it must be at least 50 pips away from current price?
I'm also using iron since a month and yes spread issue is there. every position opens with a good loss. only option to avoid floating spread you have to open account with min. $2500.
Think what they want you to think and do the opposite.
Regarding spreads, they are competitive. On EUR/USD, they are stable and doesn't spike more than 4 pips on news, mostly. The end-of-day spreads on the pari are also consistent. All other majors experience some kind of spike but my experience suggest that spikes are consistent with spreads of most reputable brokers. End-of-Day spikes on these majors can sometimes reach as high as 6-8 but just for a couple of minutes. Overall, competitive consistent spreads. However, spikes is just one side of the story. Order execution and platform glitches is something else to consider. My contact have had mixed experience with Iron.
