is this the way to trade?following colour changes blindly on a chart.i think stress and spreads may trip you up over the long term.i follow this thread with interest because early on in my forex career a chap called erol was flogging the qqe and gann hilo as his own handmade indicators and as a new boy on the block how mislead i was.but they do work, but only with a sound knowledge of the financial markets and news and sentiment and money management and daily weekly monthly pivots and momentum in the market and not if a indicator crosses the the...

Ha, exiting is only somewhat important

I don't know if I'm just not seeing something, but if one was to have a trade on the entire time it was blue or red, you'd be in business. Skipping all the sideways action as well by having the yellow part.

Thanks Newera for the tpl. I'm not sure I want to use the ea, but I am getting the hang of the manual trading. Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like we want to go in the direction of the psar and the t3, when the HA crosses the t3 in the same direction. That is to say, if the price is above a rising t3, we can go long. Just thinking out loud here, but then if the t3 is crossed we can get out. When the t3 turns down and HA crosses in that direction, we can go short. The qqe alert arrows help us be aware of trades along the way too. I don't...

Hallo Brimm!

You are right and in hindsight it is even better to watch at your combination in many cases! I am eyeballing charts right now looking at the T3 more closely and you seem to have gotten it better and more stable in many occassions.
Yet the QQEA is normally fully confirming this "on time" or a bit earlier. But for the manual trading your views are really making me see another nice tree in our forest there!

Thanks for the input! Sorry for the late reply!
Ciao!
Matt

Hallo Markpips!

You find the indy that was used here: #6196

Then you just need the Heiken Ashi bars from the normal Supernova emplate and your chart should look like the one you pointed out!

I hope that helps!

Can you please post the last week’s entry and exit times with the prices? That will be a good way to understand the depth that you are using the system to and be a guide to the others following the system.

Best regards,
Randy.

Hi fellow traders,

This is my first post to this forum although i have been using supernova manually since november last year with outstanding results! i use it on 3 pairs, GBPUSD, GBPJPY, EURJPY, trading on the 5 minutes charts and been always using a fix take profit level of 100 pips per trade, stop loss 10 pips above or below last swing low or high but no more than 100 pips, 45 pips trailing stop and only trade from 7.30 to 11.30 UK time and will stop trading for the day no matter the results i have for the day. This way i have never passed...

Jeremiah was last online on the 5th, so maybe to lure him here, you could write a PM to him and ask him to look at the questions for him. I understand there are some more within the last few pages! (Just a hint )

Hello all,
I have been using the Supernova EA on my demo for a few weeks now, and noticed it is different than Wolfeman's chart. For instance, my ea doesn't have a "scale out" feature, or I do not know how to set it properly (which is probably the case). Could Gnat, Wolfeman, Cryten, or someone who knows how to load the "set" please share so I could properly set that up. The EA I am using is the v1.7. Beta14. I noticed even the "Darfactor" on the EA that I am using is 4.236. Shouldn't that be 3.5? Mannnn......this is scrambling what little bit of marbles I have left........ thanks in advance. Tom

Hi Brimm. My ea has done much better since I disabled the scale out feature. I figure since this is a trend following system, when the trend slows- I want out. That has certainly been the case since I made the change. If you send me your email address, I'll be happy to forward you the 4hr scale out set if you want to try it, or any set I've got. Right now I'm using DAR factor 4.26...When I tested 3.5 my results were pretty bad, but that could have been bad timing more than anything. 3.5 does look good when I look at a chart. Since NFP last week my account has dropped from 104,000 to 90,000 (ouch!!) 3.5 certainly would have limited that loss!

Hi guys,

it has been a while i did not make any post, my full time job is consuming me times and i missed a lot of great trades using supernova in the past 2 weeks, however am now back in action and made my 100 pips again yesterday on gbpusd 5min. I just want to tell you that supernova still rocks!

In the other hand, i dont know if i'm asking this in the right place, but is there a coder around here? i have been using a system that is based on price action and trading time where you only trade at a certain time, where you need to place a buy and sell order that "one cancel other", and set fix tp and sl, only one trade per day. Would anyone here be able to automate this into an ea? please let me know or pm me and i shall let you know the exact setting for the ea.

Regards,

Jeremy
