I must warn everyone using GFT that the data on their charts yesterday was complete nonsense on the 27th may 2013. The charts I relied on when making my trades was wrong and they still haven't uploaded the correct data onto their charts. Both the dealing desk and customer service department are stonewalling and trying to make the assertion that the quote board information was correct and therefore the trades were valid.
I am letting everyone else know because if I didn't close down the platform and reload it I wouldn't have known and would have continued trading based on incorrect data and GFT wouldn't have said anything about it. Apparently I now have to write a formal email to compliance to review my trades and hope they do the decent thing and refund all my trades yesterday. They didn't close down their servers, stop sending out incorrect data or warn customers that their charts weren't uploading and therefore customers should be cautious/trade only based on the quoteboard. They continued taking trades and screwing people over.
This is not sour grapes coz I lost money, I lose money all the time and I understand its part of the game but I just expect accurate data or warnings when data isn't accurate. GFT are not publicising that they had server issues yesterday. There are no emails going out to clients or notices explaining why the data on charts at the moment is incorrect or even that data problems have been resolved.
Has anyone else had these issues or anything similar? Does anyone know of the FSA rules governing data provided by brokers or duty of care when information is incorrect?
