I know what he did. I was pulling a normal chuck norris joke.
Yeah, he gets the news straight from the politicians, so he knows when the trend will change. Thats his "intuition".

Which was why i mentioned to him...soros shorted the dollar in 1992 at this level im surpirsed he did something on the contrary of what his 'senior' did. BAD MENTORING?

Then again, Soros lost ALOT of money trying to do the same thing with the rupiah and ringgit, he's never been right ever since, even admitted huge losses. Doing it once but not doing it again, means people know your game. Not being biased abt trend following here but it think its a safer bet.

Lol, sorry - I haven't seen a Chuck Norris flick in years, so it took awhile for the humour to sink in.

What he did may lose him money but in the long run every westerner profit because it caused, cheaper product for western countries manufactured in asian nation
He seems very well plugged in to the fundamental side of this what goes on in this world. His contacts are deep. So his intuition can be fed by these contacts. I don't believe in "raw" intuition. It always comes from some learning.

who cares? certainly not me. Trade small for several years, know market, get experienced, develop your own system and have fun looking at your own profit rather than profit of others.
Some experinced guy will tell 'dont do that' but you will anyway and even several times.
FX market is with 2 trillion a day, however the volume for a certain pair of currency is not that big. if Soros knows the "insider" information(politician) or collaborates with other big players, he definitely can attack weak currencies. THat 's what he did to asian currencies in 98.

I didn't know that soros lost alot of money trading the rupiah and ringgit???? Where did you get the resource jest?

I remembered in the late 90s he had a verbal brawl with Dr M. And in an interview he admitted to losing alot of monies shorting the rupiahs too, that interview he was discussing abt how he is not right abt the market all e time. It was years ago, i can't quite remember when, i'll try to source the info out.
