Hi
I have a need to autostart MT4 on my VPS and need some assistance please. The VPS is running Windows 2003 Server
What I am finding is that when my VPS reboots for whatever reason, my 4 versions of MT4 are all left at their respective login screen, so I have none of my EAs working for me.
I have created a separate .ini file for each MT4. This file has the following:
; common settings
Profile=Default
Login=MyAccount
Password=MyPassword
Server=StarFinancial-AU01-Live - Star Financial Markets MT4
AutoConfiguration=true
EnableDDE=false
EnableNews=false
So this is easy enough and should mean if I can call this from a batch or cmd file, it will work.
I created a file with the following commands in it to try and call start.ini on each version of MT4, but what it does instead is just to open MT4 and not login. I actually saw some advice on this cmd file, but am not sure I have done it correctly.
Here is what is has:
ping localhost -n 30
start "1" "C:\FXO - Daily\terminal.exe" "config\start.ini"
start "2" "C:\FXO - Daily - Arvonen\terminal.exe" "config\start.ini"
start "3" "C:\FXO Javelin - H1\terminal.exe" "config\start.ini"
start "4" "C:\FXPP\terminal.exe" "config\start.ini"
exit
So, all I am trying to do is to start the 4 separate versions of MT4 and have them get their login details from the start.ini file, but am not having any success
Thanks in advance
regards
