it has to close below 1696 in daily for bearish continuation

You are right here GM. Either setup short from around 1720 or wait for close below the most recent low...

i guess this thread has been mostly gold.....c'est la vie..

when i started it was hard to find a thread that can help out with gold....so glad it's getting popular for that ...

still have these trades from yesterday

long xau.usd 1713 ---not worried about this as price will get up there may it be one week or one year

short aud.usd 1.0420 ---very puzzled why a country who cuts rate gains in price...so for now i'm still in it

as Olu stated why gold drops while au, eu, gu increases.....does this mean that usd is accumulating and forcing gold lower for qe3 or qe4....

or is it eu buying gold and forcing it lower for better price

all i know it's a weird time

here's what i see
if it stays below red tl bearish
above bullish
also look at present level as pivot points for either up or down....very vital point in price imo
look at blue horizontal line on second chart and see what happens when its in that area

looking at these charts red tl is very strong and support was pierced...would it stay under...but also remember tl is upward....so resistance is increasing as time goes by.....
then like mentioned look at certain pivot points....zoom out and it will give you a view that you can understand direction gold is positioning itself....

With gold dropping we are seeing that usd fiscal cliff is being viewed by gold market as being solved. The more it drops the more the market thinks the world economy is getting better.
But it's confusing me why eu pair is still climbing. There is something funny happening IMO.
I hate it when things don't make sense. I guess I'm an idiot that way.
Anyone have any opinions why eu and gold are decoupling this week?

people think that 'fiscal cliff' is unavoidable, and their reaction is eur/usd appreciating...

as for gold: I think the market wasn't ready for upper levels even though everyone was bullish on gold... (people commenting on gold ~1750 on new year vs.)
