DislikedYou are gravely mistaken.
I have experience with two private capital firms that both suggested their trainees keep a journal (or at the very least a notebook for reference.)
They also stressed that trading isn't about being right, which is a desire you have to break (the ego behind needing to be right,) but about how much you lose when you're wrong vs how much you gain when you're right.Ignored
The answers to these questions have nothing to do with the markets...a trading journal of either type will help you discover what needs improving and how to go about it....THAT's why you keep a trading journal

DislikedIf some one is trading for 5 years and expecting to write about every trade or refer to that, so called Trading Journal before pulling the trigger. DEFINITELY NO!Ignored
DislikedWho will decide what is important in that manual and what isn't? Every trader must tune his/her mind to control emotions, this is the hardest part to do. People don't like to change easily.Ignored
DislikedIf you are wrong, you are definitely wrong. No discussion needed. If you are right, then market proves you wrong (don't want to go in-depth), that happens (that's where money management saves the a$$). But, that shouldn't happen often. If it happens often, the system you are trading is not well defined or you don't understand the system well enough or you are emotionally disturbed. Nothing else matter!!! Many people talk something but do something else. Welcoming myself to Forex Factory.Ignored
