Oanda Practice account question

I am currently trying the Oanda system through their practice account feature. The question I have is about their fills.

I know that with other systems you automatically get fills with their practice/ back testing accounts but does anyone know if Oanda does?


I am only trying 50K trades so I don't think it would be hard to get them but no idea if it is simply auto filling or matching my trades with real ones.

I like this system and am considering moving from TDAmeritrade. I think TDA is great for stocks and options but I hate using Thinkorswim for forex and their web based interface is no where as good as the desktop.

yes, you get filled just as you would a real account. The only difference i have noticed is, during news releases, the spread may widen with a real account, and not so much with a practice, but apart from this, they fill the same. I even have a practice along a live account sometimes, and no differences.

Thank you for your response. I tried again with my pre-day set ups with orders and T.P/S.L built in and I got one to fill and one stopped me out for a net gain of $5 today.

I like TDA but there are just too many bells and whistles in the desktop but you can't even see your orders on your charts on the web based version! And I can't bring my lap top to work with me nor can I download the program onto my work computer. I am still going to play with Oanda for a month and see how it does. It's web interface is basic but still very good, better than ThinkorSwims.
