I'm frustrated with my Forex.com demo account. They're always bugging me to go live, but I'm not ready to do that yet. I don't even have money to invest yet. It's going to take some time to get that. During that time period, I want to practice and get good at this stuff.
I'm also not liking their trading software that much. When I show a chart, it's set to a 15 minute time interval. I want to be able to easily change it to show a day, a week, a month or whatever.
I also have an ACM practice account, a mini, which is appropriate for me since that's the kind of live account I'm going to start with. I like that I can easily change a chart's time intervals, but I don't know much about ACM. I've also had a little trouble with the software for some reason reinstalling itself from time to time. That makes me nervous.
I signed up to try an Oanda demo, but can't get it to work at all. When I type in my user name and the password they sent me, it says the password is wrong. I've e-mailed them about the prob and hope I hear back soon. Their site did say their demo was not time limited. That is a definite plus, and I know someone who uses them and likes them.
Forex.com extended my demo to October 15, but I'm not going to have my investment money by then. They're going to start bugging me again and then I'll have to ask for another extension. I wish they would just leave me be and let me learn at my own pace.
Is there another broker I should be trying a demo with? I want to demo with various ones and do my homework to make sure they're legit. I intend to study, study, study this stuff and then practice, practice, practice. I'm not going live until I've demonstrated some abilities in demo accounts.
