I'm short gold already but here's a possible 30 min set up. Have to see how this next candle closes.

Hey all.

First of all, for a long time I was only reading, especially all threads by Hugh - great reading, thanks!

Just a short input from my side, I think in Gold there's a bullish setup in 4h, nevertheless the shorter tfs show more of a bearish move... I personally would wait for a short drop to the trend line from 28th of December and if 4h still valid, go for it.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to post. I see what you're seeing on the 4 hour but the daily looks bearish. It's break even anyway so I'll let it run.

Pretty hard to see anything on 4 hour charts at the moment but here's euraud on a 1 hour chart. I wonder if that will give us a smooth pullback to somewhere near that trendline and a nice smooth turn?

I would never go against your trades but the stochs seem high already and the trend is definitely slowing down now.

hi malou, if you're not comfortable with the stochastic, perhaps you could pobrar with CCI14, I like a lot .... divrgencias me, oversold-overbought

this is one of the strategies used when I well defined trend (bb below or above the SMA 100)

during periods of range do not use it .... range for me = sma100 in bb

Thanks for the input Porfirio, I agree completely, anything like cci will work fine, try cci 8 and cci 20.

Pobrar? Eres portugues o espanyol?

Ah, gracias a usted para visitando. Estoy muy feliz a conocerle.

Voy a Orihuela Costa (no esta muy lejos de Alicante) la mes que viene por vacaciones. Me gusta mucho Espanya (no tengo un teclado con ny!) y he visitado muchas veces. Mi amigo ha vivido en Gran Canaria hace diez anyos entonces hablo un poco.

That gold trade worked out. As I said I'm already in it +160 at the moment but it's choppy and anything could happen!

Eurnzd stopped out at break even unfortunately. Oh well. I just closed gold at +126.5 pips as it looks like it will pull back again. If it gives another clear entry I will take it.

Many congratulations, Hugh, on a very interesting thread.

I noted a similar picture on the EURUSD M15 and before I could post it, the price shot up over 40 pips. Got my 20 pips in a matter of seconds.

BTW, I wonder what caused a sudden surge in the Euro pairs ??

No major news from the US at 1.30 pm today.
