Hello fellow traders,

Please feel free to share some of the craziest, most volatile, and hardest months to pull a profit in forex history?

For example a simple look back in your trading account and listing your biggest losing month could be just as good an answer (since I don't want necessarily a volatile month... just a really hard one to make profit in)

Thanks, just collecting some tough months to run some of my research data through...

I actually prefer volatility as well for the markets..

anyways I need some months, weeks, years where it was hard as hell for most traders to make money

PS: Ingmar I have a new messenger name and sent you a request to contact, and I also have some data I was going to send you you never read your PM's so I say it here LOL

Thee THREE worst months (Summer): June, July, and particularly, August.

The FOUR best months (Autumn): September, October, November, and December.

The FIVE good Months (Winter-Spring): January, February, March, April, and May
what we want:1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1=8 what market delivers:1+2+8+7-4+0-5+8-4-5=8

Depends 100% on the style of trading you use, as any period has pro's and cons. Months do indeed tend to act similarly over multiple years (as sortoff highlighted by adelzadeh). What is a great period for a swing trader or trend trader could be a disaster for a scalper or breakout trader, so why bother finding the worst months for people not knowing what method they use? just find whatever months are best for your style and trade those what else you need?

This is correct. Markets mirror European (Northern Hemisphere) business activity.
August is definitely the smallest daily trading range and hence difficult to turn a profit.

Ever heard the quote "sell in May and go away". This is where it comes from.
