Odd, the CME is usually pretty quick on any changes...they show 3915/2900....

By the way, I also just looked at EUR future. They really jumped that overnight, to 6480/4800. I know that was jumped, because yesterday I was horsing around killing time by putting limits inside the spread of the micro (12,500 EUR) and the initial was around 450 or so. Now I'm going to see what IB wants for it.

90, huh? That's close enough to 3600 that a hair over there would make me happy and if Frankie gets it going, it might touch over at least. That's where it's going.

Aw, sh!t. I just bot a EUR future by mistake. I armed a long so I could check the margin, and then went back just now and instead of right clicking to cancel, I left clicked and bought it.

Traded it out. Made 46 bucks the right way: fat fingers and dumb luck.

I've done some similar moves, only much more bone headed ones...some of my classics in the old days where trying to paint the last price on globex...globex would show the last best bid or ask as the last price....so say a market was sitting on the low of the day, and was maybe 2 or 3 wide, if I was short, I would constantly offer just above the bid,which many times was mine... for a split second, or use a the fill or kill order...many times I was picked off lol..

There was a guy on the E/U thread that, on Friday, was asking whether he should hold is oil into first notice day on Monday. I didn't respond; everybody needs to take delivery at least once in their life.

It was probably a mini, which cash settles, so it wouldn't have killed him. A real CL, on the other hand, is 90 thousand bucks worth of black gooey stuff. In that case, I would have spoken out.

lol, yep, its really the best way to get a good understanding of excactly how much leverage, and how big even a one lot is...funny how when your scalping, 5,000 bushels, doesn't seem like much, but when you actually have to store the stuff...well its bulky..
