i just hope 10 years from now the market doesnt think gold is 50x more valuable than silver


its truly laughable from a fundamental perspective.

unless gold is far rarer than we all think (IE 99% of it is tungsten), and has some secret powerful use society doesnt' know about


i know you like to trade gold intraday im just talking purely from a true real world value standpoint

Silver is more volatile. Smaller market?

If the two were to meet in the middle of the difference today at the close- Silver: $38.50 Gold: $1600

(Both approximate. Not going to happen, so not going scientific. )

it is a much smaller market

also heavily manipulated (gold is too but not as much)

I think its more likely we see move to 40 GSR first

Silver will fill the gap there, hopefully!


Although, this looks very bearish. If metals usually tell the story early for EU... then next week EU could drop like a rock.

No hard bounce today.

Hopefully 32.85 reacts with a lot of strength again

Seems doubtful though

edit: actually seems more likely that, if metals go up gsr will go down and if they go down gsr will go up, seems to be the case historically

im betting on metals up long term, so gsr down

The $50 run last year was bananas. So many different things were in play there. Could it happen again? Sure. But...

Looking at the Weekly 10 year chart with complete layman's eyes...ignoring any fundamental knowledge of what the instruments even are...if you chop out the $50 spike, on average, the GSR has been slightly widening, but almost proportionally to the rise of the two.

I'm sure moving averages would confirm this...but the $50 spike would skew it, so I'm not going to bother. But generally speaking, the above statement seems true...I think.

According to Google Trends, internet users are skipping just plain old simple "ammo" as a search query, and in a tried and true American tradition, confirm that size matters. The size of the ammo order that is, as can be confirmed by the following chart showing queries for "bulk ammo". What goes without saying, are the wavelike periodicities of the quantized jumps higher in popularity at select times over the past decade: they just happen to aggregate around a very specific event taking place each November every 4 years. At this rate by November 2016 we are going to need a bulkier chart...
