the key thing you are missing is that the trillionair owns a printing press and can and probably will use it some time before they come for his furniture. Printing press has the additional bonus that you only have to print half of what you owe because inflation will take care of the rest.
Also, the key problem is not debt, it is reliance on two key assumptions. The first assumption is that the economy will continue to grow by 2% every year. The second...Ignored
and if they do print half as you say. then all the conservative Germans. that have saved their entire life will lose half the value of those savings. and probably much more. the savings that they would use to retire. the same savings that make them not require a pension plan like the others (smaller plan/work longer).
what you take or give always has a reaction. Get those savers to sign off. we all know what happened last time they didn't
