I've been a lurker on the Factory for some time, and have followed this thread for a while now. I'm still pretty raw though, and am taking some time to get my confidence up. I love this method and enjoy reading your posts. It has only been over the last couple of months (and thanks to Jacko's method) that I have started to string some positive trades together and am now gaining in confidence.

Something I found elsewhere that has helped me immensley with backtesting, learning fib placement and general price analysis is a program(?) for MT4 called vhands. Some of you may be using it already, but if anyone would like to backtest using this tool say so and I will attempt to attach the required script to a post. Actually, if you did a search of the Factory it has probably already been posted.

Hello,
Anyone have any insight to where we will be going today?I stayed away friday from the bounce off trend supprot,because of the fact of it being friday afternoon and the quick fall down.Would have been a quick 100 pips though on the bounce.Well goodtrading to you all won't be to long now and we will be back in business!!

I'm going to be playing more of a defensive stand on the euro. I have a gut feeling we may be in a correction phase right now.

Here are two charts I posted in my journal. Things to be cautious of especially at these high prices. I'll be watching 1.5850/1.5900 carefully. When I looked at my 4 hour chart this morning I noticed we broke strongly through a trendline. We may be heading back to retest that area then drop further.

For now... I'm out of the market and the next area of interest to me as far as buying goes is 1.5400.

I'm with you here. All should proceed with Caution! I am out until we reach new highs or we pull back to some points on the daily charts that lend support.

But as they say a market climbs a wall of worry.

Some of the guys over at the EURUSD thread seem to think its already dropped to 5732. I'm a bit suspect of where they're getting these figures from. Time will tell of course...

I believe they got that price from msn.money which is from Friday. They also reference xe.com which is showing 1.5808, 4 pips off from Oanda.

I don't know what is going to happen, but since I have a fallen soldier that was picked up at 1.5775, I sure hope the EUR bulls take charge!

Thats a relief. I checked it 30 mins ago and it did say 5732.

AH order was picked up @ 1400 EDT 4/18/2008, I held over the weekend and am currently up 42 points.
Moved up TSL and will see what happens now,

I was also open over the weekend with my small position. There was a small Gap down of about 15 points on my charts. Just woke up to see we were at 5830 and then 5804 2 minutes later.

all of you who went long at 1.5750 on Friday (including me) should have made a nice sweet 44 pips, assuming you trailed by 50. Just got stoppped out at 1.5794.

On 4hr charts, looks like we've had a 50 retrace up from the low followed by price falling to 1.5791. Current bar shaping up to be a pin bar AND a bullish outside bar AND coming off lower trendline AND at the 50fib. I am considering buying at 1.5850 just above the 50fib.

I trailed it with 100 pips to avoid inherent whipsaws so now Im happy. It went up 120 pips from 5750 so I locked in 70 now.
We leave no soldier behind.

Currently in with an AH from Friday afternoon, 55 pip TSL (because I'm too lazy to set a customised stop of 50 ). 122 pips profit at the mo.

Just noticed the spike down through 15800 just missed my stop by 1 pip. So being lazy is the way forward.

I closed my position at 5860 manually. Watching now to see if it holds up above 5850. I might re enter if it drops a reasonable amount.
