I was wondering if anybody can give me some direction. I am considering purchasing a Treo or possibly a blackberry and was wondering if I should go for the Windows or the Palm OS version? I trade with InterbankFX - they have both versions of Metatrader Mobile available.

Any pros/cons that you can think of??

Thanks for any advice,

D.

Find one that has the indicators that you are accustomed to. Many PDA softwares limit what indicators that can be used on the charts.

Good Luck

ok first of all I'm using Axim x51v to watch market when i'm not at home, positive site of this is that you can watch market anywhere, where whireless connection is available, negative point is that MetaTrader 4 mobile has only basic set of indicators ... so it pretty much useless, you can to see only if mergin call is aproaching but I'm using (for link please PM me) to establish remote desktop connection with my PC, so I can use metatrader that istalled at home.

Better get some advices from good vendors. Use your PC at home but rely on your mobile when you are travelling. The small screen is not good for your eyes - doctor's advice.

Well thanks for all the replies guys. I am still uncertain as to whether the best Metatrader platform is Palm or Windows Mobile - I have decided on Windows mobile tho!!

I will more than likely be purchasing an HTC P4000 available here in Canada (one of the only pocket PCs available through the cell carriers unfortunately)...

Good luck everyone!!

D.

Make sure you buy a 640x480 resolution PDA as opposed to 320x240.

Nice - thanks for the input Khmr! There is a major lack of info on this model due to it being new. Hoping to have it in a week or two

And as for expert advisors - while there are some useful ones, the ones that trade for you are mostly crap! I have yet to see one that actually works (although rumours abound!)

Take care,

D.

I signed up for Cingular's Laptop Connect Broadband service last night, should have it up and running on Friday. I'm having issues (still don't have it corrected WHTenn) with the MT4 email alert function so I decided on the broadband. That way I have a laptop on the go with custom indicators, functions, EA's and porn whenever. It's a few bucks more but the larger screensize = more chartspace. I'm missing out on too many pips while at work and trading on 'their' computers is a no no. I can use the internet here and there but there are some limitations.
