Let's not turn this into a review thread. I just thought it would be interesting to see the purchases of fellow traders. So, if so inclined, please list some stuff you've purchased, without hinting of efficiency or worth, over your journey.

Purchases only, please. Trading specific products, e.g., how to trade books, signal service, EA's, private forums... etc. Again, no hints of review or commentary... just the list.

hey slack..... my trading goes back quite a few christmas's..... somewhere along the way people started sending me trading related presents.... so my list is fairly long......

david dreman's "Contrarian Investment Strategy's" is and likely always will be my favorite.....

youtube and webinars have become quite handy..... with the help of the 'youtube downloader' you can download/save or convert many of those then burn them to various formats......

i have everything raghee horner produces burned to cd's..... listen to them while on the road and try to envision her charts in my mind..... makes for worthwhile practice...... as billy ray says, i know the words by heart.......

//---

and don't forget, be sure to send a note out to all....... no sweaters or socks needed, just send me some trading books for christmas......h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h

At first I thought you might be joking, but I have to admit, my chair was one of, if not, the most important, and expensive, purchase.

I've got to write me a trading book

I'm starting to realize, every trader reads trading books!

I've never in my life read a trading/investment publication.

Got to hit Borders this weekend.

  1. a pen and a ruler (in the early days, printing out a chart and doing 'it' by hand helped me see a few things that were 'hidden' on a PC screen)
  2. Brain Rules by John Medina
  3. a not-so-cheap USB flash drive for back-up copies of the essentials (everything from charts & pdfs to bookmarks)

If you don't risk, you don't ever have to lose.

A computer, an oversized screen monitor, a portable hard drive, an office desk, an ergonomic (supposedly) office chair, a filing cabinet, a calculator, a protractor, a ruler

I will post more when I think of more...

I dont even know man it was the cheapest one in the store but it still sounds sweet - just something to bash on to help with the boredom - went to get my electric fixed and it was just an impulse buy

Um... Its that logo with the back the front S's sorta like: SZ (but the Z's an "S") ho hum

By early days, I meant my early days. You seem to have gotten it wrong, I'm not that old...... I'm a spoiled brat just like you but last summer (which I consider my early days given my place on the learning curve during that time) I printed out a bunch of charts because I had to share my PC with 4 or 5 people. That meant less screen time so the only option was to print it out. Now I have a new PC but I still print out charts. It does wonders for me some times.

Got a new coffee maker, nothing fancy, $40 at Target, and a Krups grinder, to grind the beans, which also does a good job on flax seeds & such. Drinking insanely strong coffee right now.

Also, a Tyke quad-mount for monitors. And monitors - some nice 24" Samsungs but also cheap 2nd hand 20 inchers which you can find for $10 or less.

Books, too many, but they will resell well on ebay. Sucker born every minute, I have heard said....
