But here is my real world, my life experience of spelling, based on living and working in many places around the world for over 50 years.
Gradually you begin to accept phonetic spellings of words in English, especially in the Middle East.
As long as what you hear when you read the word is what you want, close enough.
It might not be "correct" to the original spelling in the original country, but you have to remember where you are.
And we are on the internet, a more international place than ever.
In fact, I was chatting with a man from North Korea yesterday.
