DislikedWhile waiting for my capital to be transferred to my new old broker something weird struck me from the charts. The dollar is well known for its safe heaven status - examples are more then enough, take the rush after the Lehman collapse as a recent one. There is something new however, a sentiment that started forming during the last week or so since the US economy started printing bad data again - each time bad news come across we don't see the rush to the dollar even with Dow plunging. Which brings the question are people finally coming to loose...Ignored
DislikedActually my guess is that the DOW probably have not dropped enough yet for any concrete directions. And of course not forgetting those good company earnings. I got a feeling the double dip would not happen. I am personally observing the EU countries, if they go ahead and cut spending, it would be a diasater. As of last NY close, DOW fell below the 10k level, maybe more clues will surface.Ignored

Yes, BoJ pumped a lot of money to try and stimulate the economy..one...Ignored
DislikedFeds got the problem right - liquidity dried up after the crash and trillions were wiped from the system and in today's financial system liquidity is everything so that money needed to come from somewhere. However solving the problem of too much debt and consumption with more debt and consumption while destroying middle class' saving in the mean time and paying all that debt forward to our children... you get the picture
That being said we are not the people to judge Ben, he should be high enough in his helicopter to see the big picture - what...Ignored
