Here's version 1.0 of an EA that trades the basic system. It does not double the lot size after a loss. It's just uses a straight fixed lot size specified by the user.

BTW, even though it has an 87% success rate, it steadily loses money. Maybe adding in the "double on loss" strategy will help...

thank you for that work ! Yes if you don't have the double lot position it will take more time and take more of your profitable trades to break even and we want to make money : )
sorry.i downloded ea and put into my metatrader but ea doesnot take a position.which timeframe do we test h4 or h1??

and i have an idea
when psar shows long and yurik passes +0,25 take a position 10 pip tp and after this position all of closed sell candles take a position again 10 pip tp.this may provide very much profit i think..
(and sell vice versa)

i mean psar says long and yurik is bigger than +0,25 take buy position when a bear candle closed..always tp 10 pip and sl=psar..
it would be on the 4 hour chart. thanks for the suggestions on the bear or bull candles I will look into that idea.... never hurts for more profit.

I should've published my backtest stats with the EA.

Platform: IBFX
Timeframe: H4
Time Period: 1-Jan-09 to 29-Jul-10
Initial deposit: 10,000
Lot size: 0.01

Total trades: 1058
Win rate: 87%
Average win: 0.10
Average loss: 1.01

As you can see, the average loser is 28x the average winner.

The expectancy for this system is:

(win rate x avg win) - (lose rate x avg loss)
(0.87 x 0.10)-(0.13 x 1.01) = 0.087 - 0.1313 = -0.0443

This mean you were losing about 0.27 per trade.

In order to breakeven with that average win and average loss, you'd have to have a win rate of:

win rate = (avg loss)/(avg win + avg loss)
win rate = 1.01 / (0.10 + 1.01) = 1.01 / 1.11
win rate = 91%

thanks for that great info stevegee58. I ran a back test on the ea and it looks like the ea is coded to open continued trades until the market reverses and hits the psar and stops out. Actually it would be based on the prior closed psar value and fisher value to determine that trade for +10 pips. Then wait for either the fisher to reset and set up a trade in the same direction or to reverse and setup for an opposing directional trade. Plus it will make a huge difference also if you have *2 of lot price in a loss to recover that full $$ amount lost then go back to normal % of risk pricing. I love your work and just wanted to update some details on what I saw.
Well it could be I miss some details.

If no trade is open, I wait for fisher > 0.25 and SAR below price on each new bar for a buy. Opposite for sell.

The TP is fixed at 10 pips and the SL is set initially to the SAR. As the trade progresses, I trail the stop according to the SAR. That's it.

Should I be looking for another exit condition? Like fisher going below 0.25?

perfect I am glad to know some of the parameters you have coded. Yes actually we don't want to tail with the psar. We actually want to use the first closed psar bar when the psar shifts direction. So this is are hard stop thats set ... then we want to take profit at 10 pips. If their was a parameter to put what % of risk so it adjust and compounds on its own instead of a fixed lot price. Also if we lose a trade for example lot price .48 for - $48.00 then we would double the lot price .48*2 = .96 lot and the ea would continue that until we have recovered the full -$48.00 ... then would go back to the standard % of risk we put in the parameter.
Hmmm. So search backwards to the last PSAR flip and use that one? And no trailing, just leave the SL fixed?

Again, while the trade is in progress if the fisher goes below 0.25 do we close the trade or keep it going?

great questions .. we even if the fisher dips below .25 we stay in the trade until we hit +10 pips or we get stopped out.

The psar will define our support or resistance to determine what we are looking for in +0.25 fisher, or -0.25 fisher to enter the trade. So that first psar value when it had a stop and reversal we would want to use that closed psar value as our hard stop and not allow it to adjust throughout the trade.

my apologies .. this is a work in progress. Just trying to give back and work with others to help this great trading strategy become even better and coded for all of our success.

OK, here's version 1.1.

SL is fixed now. No trailing.
The SL is chosen to be the PSAR right after the last flip.

Win rate increased from 87% to 88.4% and average loss increased from 1.01 to 1.15.

Still not breakeven yet but it's an improvement. Expectancy:

(0.884 x 0.01) - (0.116 x 1.15) = 0.0884 - 0.1334 = -0.045

The expectancy is slightly worse, so technically the change was not an improvement. I'll add the doubling lot size later since I'm getting tired and drinking beer LOL.

I don't rename my files with the version number in them. But the version is religiously maintained in the comment block of the source file.

Ah I misunderstood when you pointed that out before. So you only take the first fisher setup after the PSAR flip?

Yes sir we only look for the first setup after the flip ... but allowing the ea to read that after the win and goes below the fisher .25 + or - then take the next trade sense it reset ... great : )
