Apologies in advance if this has been asked (it probably has) but I am unsure what to search for (ie the correct technical term).

Is there anyway to walk through the code line-by-line and see what values are being assigned to each variable?

I found this helpful when learning VBA and want to apply the same learning steps to MQL.

The difficulty I am having is the current code I am looking at runs a loop over the past 100 bars. I am unsure if the indicators are being applied correctly.

Thanks!

The term you are looking for is debugger and there are lots of threads about and they all say about the same thing. No MT4 does not have one, use Print() instead.

That is the word!

I guess this means line by line is not possible? I will try print but this may bring back too many values.

I really can't offer any elegant solution or tips to make it easier. It is brute force.
