Do you have a favorite setup for the EUR/USD on a particular timeframe?

Much like a professional wrestler has a finishing move, perhaps you "finish a trade" based on a high probability setup.

The pinnochio bar described in the James 16 thread is probably one of my favorites. Suppose there are 3 H1 bars in a row.... if the second bar's high is 25 pips greater than the other two bar's highs, I go short. The same is true in the opposite direction.

Can't go past a good PB, works well on all pairs too.

Rising and falling wedges/channels would have to be next.

Absolute gems for a signal to TP

Just joined here!
Right now, eurusd is correcting downwards to 1.36442 (my broker has fractional pips)
The trade balance figures were enough to break the resistance at 1.3680 and the 1.3700 right after...
good trades!!

I'm a simple trader. I trade purely on patterns and chart analysis. I look for likely patterns to develop and trade when they mature. Today, I'm going short from 1.36470 with a profit target at 1.36000 based on a channel setup (see chart).

I get burned when I get anxious to get in or set my stoploss too close. If I'm patient and diligent to assess possible variations, I can minimize my losses and maximize my profits.

I use the Bulls and Bears indicators that come w/ MT4 and plot the EMA they use just for visuals. I also use custom trendline analyzer on another chart window to help verify points of support and resistance.

Since IBFX is my broker, I use their Pattern Recognition System as another point of confirmation.

When I can see the trend moving toward the daily pivot, my confidence goes up and gives me a good target for profit-taking.

I like the 15-minute chart because I can see moves early, but don't get drawn into small movements.

Hey Bagoomba

Which indicator do you use for news (those vertical lines)? Are they visible before the news also,or just after? Would you mind sharing,I would greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Happy,

I use the THV Forex Factory market news indicator.

The THV system is posted here on the site somewhere. Let me know if you can't find it.

eur usd at a very critical resistance level....but i am also thinking the friday breakout and a candle closing on top is a sure confirmation of a upwards move...
