Running mutiple EA at the same time.

Can I run multiple EA at the same time? Each open chart has it's own EA. What I noticed this morning when running multiple charts, it seems like only one EA can run at a time. I want to run mutiple currencies with their own EA. Am I missing a setting in my EA. Thank you in advance for your reply. Snowy2

You have to have a magic number in the EA. A different magic number in each EA identifies the EA as being unique. You can run the exact same EA on 2 seperate charts and if they each have a different magic number, the server will think that one EA is 2 seperate EA's. Does that make sense? A MagicNumber is like a serial number.

Only one EA per chart. If you have multiple charts open, you can run multiple EAs.

Now, just because you can run multiple EAs at the same time doesn't mean that they'll play nicely together. If an EA isn't programmed to only watch it's own trades (as verified by checking symbol and magicnumber) bad things can happen. What kind of bad things? Depends on how the EA was written: Two EAs could "fight", one repeatedly opening a position and the other repeatedly closing it... stuff like that.
