I am both pleased and surprised that my MOD of SCOOBY's EA (scooby.mq4) is doing so well. I can't code for toffee, all I did was "hack" his EA a bit.
Also the MPTM set file is a slightly modified version of one MacMan posted a while back which he said he was using with an older version of this Scooby.mq4 (the original one, not one I modded) - so I can't really take much credit there either.
Observations:

Observations:
- A lot of the trades are uncannily accurate. I mean even if you look at the 1 minute chart in retrospect, they are still perfect to the peak or trough candle.
- Up 6% or so this week. Max floating DD seen about 4%.
- If the trade goes positive 15 pips, then the BE is set by the MPTM, otherwise it is left to do its stuff. In this case it will be closed when H1 goes <30 for a sell or >70 for a buy. This usually means a profitable trade, but it can close in loss. Closed losses do not seem excessively large as it seems to ride out the trade going the wrong way and then when it retraces somewhat the position is closed.
- I am testing two variations of the bot in addition to leaving the original mod version running. One uses the MA to close the trade if it looks like the trend is ending. This one is only slightly behind the regular one in terms of closed profit, but had only 1/2 the floating DD. So this might be the way to go.... On the other hand the idea with variant two is to use the distance between the MAs as compared with where price is at presently to stop it entering a trade in the first place. This variant two has been based on my observations of price action of trades that have gone into bigger floating DD than normal - although even these trades did recover for a small loss.
- Accuracy of the original basic mod version stands at 86% on my demo with almost 18% profit since starting last Wednesday afternoon. (Right now it is Tuesday morning for me). Max floating DD seen about 4%.
- I am testing the original mod with the two variants in parallel and will see which gives the best level of profit versus risk (floating DD on positions).
- In general I am very pleasantly surprised about how these seemingly simple settings are doing.
Cheers
