Aud-usd seem like to run over 0.946x. 0.97 ?
Nzd-usd enter new sky, go 0.89 lvl is sure event.
Gbp-usd enter new sky, no resistance now, 2.0000 before Xmas. Carney may cry? or laugh? Pound become a safe heaven and beat $ to play a reserved currency again.
Eur-usd move above 1.3670, will change into bullish again. So, miz's ellipse dip work again, the best.
Gbp-jpy breakout 1st seller's stoploss -- 173.66 on 2nd daily bars, twice breakout. supply/demand, order flow, resistance traders are killed out. Next is 174.85 line. Ready for big pie at 184 and massive Xmas pie at 200 ? Men love to break in as market love to breakout.
Gold turn bullish, Indian central bank may buy a lot of gold. New Indian PM got no wife or no-sex-wife or forgot-wife, he don't need gold, so, more gold for other indian wife by indian central bank. good !

Cable breached 2009 high of 1.7048, negating the chance of a major horizontal triangle or a 4th wave. It's more probable a complex higher degree wave (2) developing, now at tail-end of wave x just above 2009 high.

Hi, Skyhok,

Oh, your wave counting is too long for me. Extreme long-term issue is not for traders, is for historian. Elliott wave has never been proven to be useful on long-term forecast, has been it?

I am only interested on less than 10 years cycle, and focus on 1 to 3 years, and love 1 to 3 months wave cycle forecast.

UK got good fiscal and monetary macro drivers behind its growth in most of area, eg. services, manufactory,banking, few population, etc. so, new long-term up business cycle may be running in UK, which is why somebody buy pound at top of the range from years.

A triangle breakout put top side target at 2.0550 level. The market intend to gear up to achieve its target.

Has it been proven not useful on long term forecast?

I'm only just beginning to discover the beauty of long term EW forecast as a 'road map' for future market directions, and I'm busy finding new applications of it for better entry, exit and management of my trades.

I'll have to leave the disproving of it to you.

i think the wave c you are referring is the wave c of wave B? Wave B on the AUDUSD chart is a Double Combination corrective pattern (as described in Mastering Elliott Wave , G. Neely pg. 8-5, 7, 30) as a double zigzag that ends with a triangle in the second half. This pattern appears in quite a few recent major markets and I find it working well.

mm so here is the problem you are counting with neely strecture , it's impossible for me , elliot say wave C always motive wave so how neely come after him and say that wave c could be a 3 waves ? , u can say where is the problem with counting wave c as 3 wave , i ll reply by a question where is the differents between what you are counting and WXY combination ?

It's worth getting Neely's book: the Investment/Reward ratio is huge, because it describes the Double Combination in details through out the book on page 8-5, 7, 30; 11-28; 12-19, 21, 42 & 43 and answer your question.

p.s. It is not about wave C being a 3 waves.

6 Weeks and it start to do as it should
i use other way than EW and only "basics of ew"
but this view was like mine half of it happen and couple of months and big BANG BANG Will happen
ABC>> going to finish
Wave counting and forecast seem a problem for euro in such a huge price structure.
Now, bullish wave counting failed. Bearish wave counting fail to count this huge price
structure as downward wave 1 in E wave.

my wave counting is a possible scenario.

wow usdzar all the way from 1844 thanks alot skyhok much appreciated, and very nice count by the way you own this pair i had a hard time figuring out a count on the chart from late 1700 but tried to make a count starting from 1950's. I think lows of 2008 is going to be tested maybe even broken soon. But there could appear strong support in a year two maybe (point b on your chart). It is hard to say if this will hold but i look at it pretty much the same way as you but with a slight different count. I am also expecting a strong move to set of one at those points you marked as x and (2). I like reversing charts so did upload two. If (D) on the first chart was reached it could go both ways but i honestly i am also expecting a weak pound.

Thank you for the charts and wave counts. It's great having someone who do appreciate using long term charts.

Since waves are fractal, using long term charts to determine directions to trade on daily TF , is just as useful as getting directions from daily charts to trade on hourly TF.

Look forward to see more of your long term counts, I'll do likewise.

I am new to such historic charts but sure it's going to be fun analyzing them. It is amazing to see how much things can change it makes me think alot and i like that

I couldn't stop myself, i am really excited about those charts, did you take a look at USDCAD? It is moving right now and i think it will get very close to 2001 top if this trend holds
i-V looks like a fifth wave extension, and Elliott says that double tops are very likely to occur if the fifth wave extended. So far from experince i can only agree with him. Do you have a count on this pair? if so i hope your will share, cheers

Hi alayinizAMK, just got up and see your nice chart.

Good to see we both have the 2002 top @ 1.6200 as an impulse wave top, and here comes the time consuming correction that retrace the impulse wave.
