are there any pros or cons? they seem to be a big broker and I dont trade news,i only do carry trades and they pay a nice swap on the GBP JPY.
Id like some opinions please.

What's their swap on the GBP/JPY?

I can tell you from my experiences that they were pretty much your typical broker. Nothing great, but no nightmare's either.

I just didn't like their trading interface. Of course, since you're only interested in doing carry trades, I doubt it would matter. However, are you sure their swap is worth trading? It would have to be significantly higher than the $24+ you can get at most shops now. Not to mention their spreads which were usually a pip or 2 higher than most places.

Again, if you're doing a few trades a month, they probably aren't going to be horrible. I never had a problem with getting money from them. I just didn't like their platform...it just seemed to be extremely dated and not very useful.

No, it seems that they're removing unhelpful posts.

I'll repeat what I said. I never made anything from forex.com...but that was more my system and my inability to adapt to their trading system.

I didn't like their trading platform...but other than that, I never felt cheated by them. Your money will be quite fine there and if you aren't an active trader, you'll do just fine.

i was Scamed by one company..iam not allowed to put a name on them...
but just want to warn all...becarefull..everything seems allways nice in the beginning..(ofcourse it will,,otherwise they werent able to have fools like me depositing money at them )

I've been using them for over a year, but just opened up ibfx because Metatrader is the best platform in my opinion. Although gain's rollover interest is a little better than ibfx, but not too much. Only problem I had was a delay in depositing money. Never got a good chance to withdraw if you know what I mean..

I deposited with credit card. Haven't withdrew yet. My deposit was lost in space, so I had to "chat" with them and they found it and deposited it immediately.

I've been with Gain for about 18 months. No real complaints. They've updated their platform but it's basically a cosmetically enhanced version of the old one. You do get access to Esignal charts if you keep over $1000 with them. Between Esignal charts and Gain's platform, I really don't need anything else. I trade the news once in a while and I've gotten my fills very close to where I've ordered. If you're trying to chase the spikes, after they've begun, with no real plan during NFP you'll probably suffer a little less than with most other brokers. Their T/A and daily strategies are very good starting points for identifying trade setups.
Been with them for about 4 months and don't really have any major complaints. Been fairly impressed with their new platform which now allows for trailing stops and multiple lots which the old one did not, and is very responsive. You still cannot hedge postions, but oh well at least their are moving in the right direction.

I have always deposited money with a CC and have never had any issues, in fact funds have always shown up within 1-2 hours on my account.
Roscoe, you must have been using the web based platform. The Java platform was much better and did allow trailing stops. The new platform is light years ahead of the one you were using. But sadly, still no hedging. For those whose cc payments get lost for a while, I had the same problem. In my case it was a matter of my middle initial being on my cc but not on my account. A phone call always got my payment posted within a few minutes.

just a question: do you get the whole esignal FX datafeed for free? For example, can you also display data from other contributors than Gain, like EUR-A0@TDFX? Or is it only the GTIS composite feed and Gain's data. If i can get the whole esignal fx data, ill open an account right away.

You'll only get the composite quotes and Gain quotes. You can bring up spot gold and a few other things as well. I haven't been able to bring up the dollar index, though Gain's new platform provides a streaming quote, but no way to chart it.
