Changing the way code looks

Hi all,

I sent an EA to someone to put in a couple of lines of code. I now have it back but the code for the whole EA looks totally different.

It is only recognizable by the variables. Other than that I would have no clue it was the same EA.

How is this possible and can I change it back?

It's just the structure of the code. Can't really fix that.

No, it is the same code and it has been run through some sort of program to change the code.

It is not possible to re-write a 50 page EA in a few days exactly as it was before.

I sent the EA to him nearly 2 weeks ago but he had not started on it four days ago, when I decided to have a crack at coding it myself. I got it back day before yesterday.

I would just like to know which program he changed it with and if it is possible to change it back.

The copyright has changed as well, I am sure he wouldn't have done that himself and I think it has been done by some sort of wizard.

BTW, the code pasted here is not code that needed any changes. It is just a random selection to post here as a demonstration.

The whole EA is like that.

Wow! That's crazy. The original code is much more readable.

Did they actually do anything to the code other than just rearrange it?

hey asgard..... it's been run thru a decompiler..... and yes it will be tough to read.....

if you sent him something in ex form, he would have to decompile it first before makin the changes you wanted....

the decompiler assigns certain prefixes to the data types..... once you memorize the prefixes you can reverse it back to easy to read mq4.....

it won't be a quick process....... after doing a couple dozen, it gets faster.......h

Yep, I eventually worked it out. I sent him an mq.4 file not an .ex4, not sure why he would compile it and then de-compile it.. anyway I will ask him for just the piece of code I paid for to be pasted in and the original returned.


Wow.. that sounds like a real job, where might I get the codes?
