I agree, there is a strong support at 1.58. I think I'll try to enter this trade if price should break this support.
About the use of CS in a breakout, Manesh Patel in his book "Trading with Ichimoku Clouds" says CS should be above both price and Kumo (he says in "open space") because price action in the past represents support-resistance in the future.
In case CS after a breakout enters into the price again, I would exit the trade for the same reason.

I just had a look at the price was already at the daily KS and was also at it yesterday.whats the TF of the chart attached? On the H4 you can see a support line around the 9460 mark which would be my target. I'm still not that confident on trading these retracements, when the trend is bullish on the daily. I think Gerald is a bit of a pro at these though.

that's M15; as an intradaytrader just look at H1/H4, use Kinonen's indi to know the strong/weak pairs, check the news and then look for an entry on the M15 (strong cross TS/KS, CS in free space and off course CS and PA < kumo, SL other side kumo) : Vic's rules.

EU has broken out on H1 at 1.3401, SL just below the prev low at 1.335. EG still rallying from yesterdays breakout bullish from 0.843. Also looking for a bullish break out for AJ north of 95.09.

CK is breaking away from price and Kijun also pointing up.

Traded the bounce off Daily-Kijun..........more than 350 pips up so far
great trade. I was concentrating on the EU and EG pairs. I had a bullish order to open on AUDJPY, which has been range bound for a while. Sadly i left it too close to the range as i hadnt properly accounted for the larger spread size, and then got opened before the price retraced. I managed to spot this early and minmised damaged, but it is a lesson learnt. Still waiting for that to break out though.

Are there any savvy MQ4 programmers willing to help out. Here is a Ichimoku indicator that displays the time and price of a Tenkan/Kijun cross in the horizontal and vertical columns. However, there is an annoying dashboard in the top right corner that, for the life of my limited programming skills, I cannot get rid of.

Can someone put an external bool in language so that we can have the dashboard ON/OFF, yet still draw the time and price of the T/K cross ??

I'm not a programmer, but I adjusted the pixel position so that it's in the lower right corner and then changed the text to match the chart background.

Thanks pip_hunter. I already tried that. The only problem of putting in the lower right, is the Kumo cloud goes south, its still in the way.

I also tired moving the margins, but that also changes the T/K cross, "X" spaces over.

it seems to be a nice setup for a long trade on USDCAD daily. Price above Kumo, TS greater than KS, CS above price and Kumo, and now Kumo future turned bullish. If price will break out the resistance at 1.0100 I think it will go... What do you think about?

Bummer. Is your chart off set or does the cloud end at the screen itself?

The chart is not offset. The Kumo cloud ends at the right column.

On the chart, right click and click on properties, then click on the "Common" Tab, look for the box and text that says "Chart Shift" and click on the box.
That will create a check mark on the box. Click ok and that should give you some additional space.

Looks good for a couple of hundred pips at the least but this pair moves too slowly for my liking, plus the swap is negative, if that's not an issue then one could take it with a medium-sized stop.

Plenty of such TS-KS crosses occur all the time, there are plenty of other indicators & systems that will provide decent entry-signals but the success of a trader depends on how good his/her exit-strategy is, because markets spend most of their time back & forth in channels & cycles. An entry is only good if the exit is good!

i want to confirm with my analysis.
i believe it is a Strong bearish cross under the cloud, the price also had the correction until kijun-sen.
don't you think it is the right time to go down?
