jpa0827 Trading Journal

The goal of this journal is to help me keep track of all of my trades, as well as my thoughts and emotions during the trade, which will in turn allow me to go back and analyze positives and negatives of both winning and losing setups that I had taken. It also will be used to help me become more disicplined and patient as a trader, which will shape my trading style.

I will be focusing mainly on weekly, daily, and 4hr charts, because those are most suitable for my lifestyle and work schedule. The method that I will be using is Price action mainly off of support and resistance at swing highs and lows, but I will leave it open ended, because as I progress, I may start using a slightly different technique, while keeping price action as the core to my trading methods.

Comments from other experienced traders are welcome. I would like this to be a place to openly discuss possible trade setups and outcomes.

Although I haven't made it to where I want to be in my trading career. I have seen a dramatic shift in my trading since switching to forex and talking to people on FF. I want to thank everyone for helping me learn price action. I especially want to thank James16, Mbqb11, and Mike W. You guys are awesome. It amazes me how willing some people are to help. Lets hope there are lots more people out there like yourselves. I plan to share my knowledge as well when i get to your level.

Looking at possibly shorting this one.

1. Divergence on daily.
2. Strong weekly resistance above.
   1. Would like to have seen it go to the .7000 level, but can't ask for everything (this is one reason that makes me wonder if it still will go there first before moving down.)

3. Nice Pin Bar formed on the daily.
4. Pin Bar closed inside the previous bar.
   1. Size could have been bigger, but it is equivalent to other bars. Might be worth A shot.

1. First Take Profit at blue zone if I go short this Pair.

I think this one could make a big move down pretty soon.
Time will Tell as always.

Short at break of bar. First TP at .6690, 2nd target in blue zone.

1st targt hit, Took Partial profit and moved to Break even. Free Trade.

Looks like this pair is trying to move up. Held it a little too long, but got the rest of my position out for 26 PIPS. Oh well. Profit is Profit. Out at .6700ish. I'm playing it safe by getting out, because the trend is up and it might continue.

Mike, Let me know what you think if you get a chance.

I've been watching this pair for a few weeks and have patiently been waiting to see what it does at the .7000 round number. I see possibly a great place for a nice short position. But of course, the market will have to tip its hand with Price Action before I do anything.


If it keeps going up for another week or so, it will have created some nice space or room to move to the downside, before any trouble areas.

Beautiful Entry PA signal on 4hr.

Well, Nothing new here for me. This was a valid trade and was up around 100pips today then reversed hard and I'm now out for a loss of 30 pips. I'll be waiting for further bullish action at the 134.50 level. We'll see what happens. I got to find a way to ensure that this stops happening while i'm at work. Maybe a trailing stop.

Although I'm frustrated with what just happened on this trade. I think I might have made a good call on getting out early before my losses got too carried away. That bearish 4hr Pin is an ideal setup, therefore, I'm not sure what is going to happen. It might beable to break through the supports area 134 range. If not, then I can always get back in to the long side with PA.

Long Cad/Jpy. Target is 86.80

Out of CAD/JPY due to bearish reversal on 30 min chart. +50ish pips. Might re-enter later if opportuniy knocks. my target around 86.65 was hit. I accomplished my main goal of not being greedy and taking the most I could get for the time being.

Short the Aussie based on the a couple things. pseudo daily Pin bar with some divergence (not a great close, but still a bounce off of the upper levels). But what caught my attention was the hourly bearish outside bar which could turn into a nice 4hr bearish outside bar; Therefore I entered the hourly reversal on a retrace to about 50% level and will be monitoring the close of the 4 hr chart to decide If I want to ride this one lower.

Stopped out at Break even after being up around 50 or 60 pips. Price bounced hard off or the blue PPZ

Took daily pin around 1.6350 short and closed for about 75 pips while sleeping. Missed a lot of pips on that one, but still made a profit so I'm happy. No chart due to computer issues.

Got in long at 80.33 off of 1hr chart and an 14(ma) got out at 81.15 because it is friday and I think it will retrace back into this weeks bar. Might look into a retrace entry to go long again. But for now I'm completely out. I think the Aussie is strong though.

Well I got knocked out of this trade at break even. I moved my stop up to early when I left for work in the morning. I'm going to be looking for a re-entry tonight so we'll se what she gives me. I still think this thing has a chance to get at least to around 1.05. I'll be looking for my entry on the 1hr charts more than likely.
