EAs lost during system restore

I use XP and I did a system restore yesterday and afterwards noticed that I couldn't get a connection on FXDD when I clicked on the icon - just a blank screen. I then opened the FXDD folder and all the files were gone, and they are not in the recycle bin. I tried to undo the system restore, but there was a messsage that it was unable to perform it. Does anyone have suggestions on how to retrieve my FXDD files? This is important as most of them were indicators I downloaded from the forums.

Always back up your files.

System restore makes changes to your system files (IE: Reverts them back to their preexisting state on the date you chose).

It shouldn't affect any personal data files. Im surprised that it has any effect on your trading platform, especially your EA's/indicators.

Just a question but how many days/months ago did your system restore - restore back too? If it was only a few days ago, then try doing it again... a few days earlier than the point you used to see if it recitifies the issues you are having. As long as it is post FXDD installation.

There could of been problems with your restore point that you used. It has worked for me in the past.

I think the Program Files folder (where I suspect Metatrader is installed) is part of system restore.

eagle4x search in google Undelete softuer. 20 - 30 % succes in restore you file.

I tried to undo the previous restore again, and for some reason, this time it worked. Thanks for all the input.
