No, just the opposite. Let losing pairs run, and continue adding orders per the schedule, until they come back to plus 10 pips and then close. This is "averaging in" and so far has produced only a .5% drawdown. The drawdown might be way worse than this over time, I have no idea, I'm just testing it.

oks, like me then.
sometimes i close all if i have +1% without wait of the end of the day.

doshur, you can post your system if you want. we're here to learn

ok.

as the thread title suggest, the system you all are using seem to be hedge if im not wrong

what i have from my system is i trade on eur/usd
you can use any kind of trading system for signal trigger
then i use 2 currency to filter the signal, EUR/CHF and USD/CHF

as you all know, USD/CHF is strongly correlated to EUR/USD

so if USD/CHF goes down and EUR/CHF goes up, and trigger from EUR/USD is buy, then I will buy.

This is my correlation trading system.

from 12/04/09 - 31/05/09

design steps
1. any simple system (EG. Moving average cross overs) on eur/usd
2. using the same system for usd/chf and eur/chf

condition
if buy signal on eur/usd + buy signal on eur/chf + sell signal on usd/chf then execute buy

(my basic trading system already have accuracy of 85%, if combined with the filters it pushes accuracy to 90%)

That doesn't help. Let me rephrase.

What do you use for a stop loss? What do you use for a take profit?

TakeProfit is 1X ATR value
StopLoss is 3X ATR value

That helps, thank you. So tell me if the summary of your system is correct:

You have three charts up, Eur/Usd, Eur/Chf, and Usd/Chf. All use the 1 hour time frame.

When you get a crossover from two moving averages (say 3 and 8 EMA) or any other entry signal, and it is showing long for Eur/Usd, long for Eur/Chf and short for Usd/Chf, you enter a long Eur/Usd trade.

You then place a stop loss at 1X ATR (14) and a take profit of 3X ATR (14).

Is this all correct?

I see. You have a pretty poor risk to reward then, which is ok if you have a very high win rate.

Another question I have, is do you have to have the signal all on the same bar? I mean, do you have to receive a long signal on Eur/Usd and Eur/Chf and a short signal on Usd/Chf all on the same bar? Or can you have 2 of the charts showing a signal, and then a couple bars later get the third pair's signal and enter at that time?

How much do you trail by? Is this also determined as a factor of ATR or a certain number of pips above breakeven? Thanks for your contribution.

trailing is another simple system that u can design and incoperate into the system.

close half the position
then move stop to break even
then for trailing, i use some atr factor + moving average to trail

you can actually optimize the trailing system with the tester

this is one strategy to capture more profits, u can improvise and share it here
