Hi community,

enclosed you can find a correlation system (FINEXX_Cor) for EUR/USD & USD/CHF which should produce small but consistent stable profits. In the last 6 months (forward testing and live trading) there were no negative month; performance is about 20% /p.m. depends on your margin/account size.
My spread is all in all 5 pips (2+3).

Here the result from my live trading this/last month (0.1 Lot, Margin 1:200, FXDD):

18. Dez 10,25
19. Dez 27,71
20. Dez 31,21
21. Dez -25,63
22. Dez 0
23. Dez
24. Dez
25. Dez
26. Dez -30,45
27. Dez 30,38
28. Dez 0
29. Dez 10,16
30. Dez
31. Dez
01. Jan
02. Jan 14,6
03. Jan -20,67
04. Jan -14,8
05. Jan 52,17
06. Jan
07. Jan
08. Jan 10,15
09. Jan 10,34
10. Jan -14,48
11. Jan 10,16
12. Jan -32,23
13. Jan
14. Jan
15. Jan 21,18
16. Jan 10,04

Total: $100
Margin EUR/USD & USD/CHF (0.1 Lot): about $120
Max Drawdown: about $60

with a conservative $500 account:
Performance: 20%

How to use?
- save file in expert folder
- open EUR/USD window, time: 1m
-> let it run all day and night

Do you have any plans for releasing the source? How does it exploit correlation?

Most of the time the correlation (Eur/USD and USD/CHF) is about -0.9. But sometimes is greater and if a certain point is reached the system opens a trade (in trend direction)

Thanks for the posting If itis not to much trouble, could you posts the MT4 numbers on this.. Mostly the profit factor, winning % and avg win and avg loss...

Thanks again for sharing.

If it is more convenient, could you just post the MT4 detail report stats?

Not the entire thing just the stats?

Thanks much, Scott

Problem: On my account there run more than one EA.
Test this EA for one month on a demo account, so you can decide if its good for you

No, but I want that all have the same version; so you will get an updated Version in Feb.
I am still optimizing it and when I program a new version, everybody will use it. I think thats easier for new reader for example in 3 months...

Thanks for the EA. I have been looking at ea's for a long time and have not found anything that I can trust. I have been testing your system the past 3 days and I am impressed. I am Conservative in nature and this fits my bill. I did have one question. How is the stop loss configured? I see the profit target is coded at 10. But you loss totals are different. Funny as I did not suffer the loss you did on Friday. I have not had a loss yet. My position is still open. I did see the $25 or so draw down intra day.

Thx for your interest,

yes PT is 10 and SL is 25; I gave the system a little bit more space to gain profits so I set the SL to 25;
P&L depends on your entrytime and your broker so you had luck on Friday but notice that it can happen the other way round. For me its important that an EA produces stable returns with low drawdowns. Here are some EA that wins 200 pips and loose the same the next months. I dont like such an EA.
What broker do you use? I also tested it with northfinance and it didnt work as good as with FXDD (maybe because the spread is higher).
What do you mean with "I did see the $25 or so draw down intra day"

I was testing this on Interbank Fx server. I meant that I did see the spread go to a negative $25 (0.1 lots/100:1) intraday. And then recovered to a negative $15 when the market closed. This type of trading fits my risk tolerance. So again I thank you for making this ea available. As I do not have the time to sit in front of my computer and trade all day.

Could you please explain a little more on how your system works? If you are hedging USD/CHF and EUR/USD, all you really getting is EUR/CHF. Please help me I am little confused........

Interesting, that you use InterbankFX. Keep me informed about the performance with this broker.
Yes, SL is 25 but it can happen that you see for a (really) short time -25$ without closing the positions. The reason is that the refreshrates are on the EUR side and when EUR doesnt move a tick but CHF does it will not close the positions. But thats not really dangerous for your risk.
I also like EAs that run all the time(day, night, weekend, news,...), so you can concentrate on sth else.

Hi,

Yes I am hedging USD/CHF and EUR/USD because the risk is smaller. Totally you get EUR/CHF but if I want to trade EUR/CHF I have to decide long or short. In my system I decide for the base currency (Eur) if I go long or short but when I am on the wrong side (what can happen), I can even so make profit because of the correlation factor (CHF moves faster than EUR)

thanks for this, hedge trades are my particular fascination at the moment. I use a HedgeEA with GBPJPY and CHFJPY.

have you considered any filters such as letting the EA trade only when EURCHF bounces of a lower bollinger?

I look forward to your next version.

Tbreaker,

Have you tried to hedge USD/DKK and EUR/USD, i found that this hedge has 100% correlation. Is 100% too much?

here is a link to currency correlation chart http://www.mataf.net/en/analysis-correlation.htm
