ADX crosses indicator question?

Hello guys,

This is my first participation here. I wonder if anyone of you used the ADX crosses indicator http://codebase.mql4.com/609 . If so, then my question is whether the red or blue arrow means that the cross is at that arrow or after it? I mean with my default ADX indicator settings I can't correlate the arrows with the indicator. Can anyone help?

I don't mean to be an ass, but if it showed you ahead of time we'd all be millionaires. It is calculated from past data, and is another way of showing you what has happened up to that point. Whether its prophecy is fulfilled is another matter.

I don't believe that it shows indication ahead of time, but I think it will be shown after the ADX crosses, then the arrow will show on the previous bar, for example: If Adx crosses today, then the indicator will update itself and draw an arrow on yesterday candle according to the cross. I am following it up closeley now, and that's the best explanation I can find for the indicator.

So true, no indicator can predict the price action else we would all be millionaries. Its just another indicator to add just like many of the others we use to trade. It just seems to give you a possible view that it may change [no promises]. To me, it seems most effective for daily charts along with the plotting of MAs.

Yep, possibility of going where it's been. Can't tell you where it's headed.

Hi i have a question if its possible to se the up and down arrow before the bar is closed ? beacuse in the default the arrow apears after the close of the bar..
