But I heard somewhere, that there are a lot of hoops to jump through to get a withdrawl if by chance you were to make any money on an account this size. Does anyone know about how the withdrawl process works on this type of "free" account?

5 round turns, and then fill out their online withdrawal form. My gf made money, and had no problems withdrawing.

That 50$ offer is nothing but a joke. I mean, what's 50$ compared to the thousands of dollars the traders lose every day?
Forex is a losers game.

not saying that I recommend FXCM. In the end, they're a crappy bucketshop.

I got $50 and I am in the UK.

I spread trade and have been playing with the $50 account and think FXCM are great.

Still it's not hip on FF these days unless you moan about everything, even a free $50

I tried to change my UK account to it, got told USA accounts only, couldn't be arsed to move my account.

Never had the pleasure in 5years of withdrawing money from my normal account sadly, but print out a form fill it in and post it then wait for your cheque to arrive I think, then wait for that to clear so not speedy and instant transfer like DATEK used to be, which is a good thing as I kept tapping that

If it gets you started for $50 which lets face it is a sensible worthless amount to waste then go for it.
Nothing to it, but to do it!!! Stick to the plan FOOL!!!!

make 5 trades total. (opening and closing a trade = 1 trade) No minimum lot size for each trade.

I had a regular account which they converted to Micro. All the rules for Micro accounts are the same. I had to pay $10 for a check withdrawal. They are retarded and don't want you to withdraw any money. If I remember correctly the fee is $20 for the second withdrawal in a month. I wouldn't trade with them only because of that.

So they have offered a free $25 or $50 account and they have honered it? Has anyone actually received a free account like this? Sorry for all of the questions. Someone I know is working 4X strats and they are thinking of getting in live, and I thought this may be something they can use.

Thanks

the withdrawal admin fee they charge micro lot holder is pretty high, even higher than standard account holders.

$25 withdrawal basically got nothing to pay up the withdrawal admin fee. $50 withdrawal, but they may charge up to $45 withdrawal admin fee. This is my friend's in person sufferings. that really charges higher than many banks despite their explanation claiming "more admin work to do"!

its attractive selling point is the high leverage 400:1 but!

Yeah but to learn with, with $25 which is better than a Demo account, its kinda okay 4 1/2 years on and off of messing about and haven't got to the stage of withdrawing money yet which sadly applies to most Forex wanna be traders

When cracked, definately close the account and go elsewhere.
