Thanks Samurai. Just to make sure Im on the right track are you sitting out tonight for EU currency as it seems to be going sideways at the moment, or are you sticking with the Long Only setting?

Ps. All my MT4 accounts wont let me back test any further back then Nov 2008. Any idea why this may be?

Thanks
Serge

Samurai I understand that completely, always have, thats exactly why I returned the Fap Turbo, nothing is that easy or simple it is bound to crash eventually. What I dont understand is if an EA fails that miserably on the backtest right off the bat what good is it? The V63H04 performs terribly, doesn't even break even, I dont think any amount of "driving" is going to make this one worth the time.

The V63G on the otherhand, at least it is making small gains on the backtest without any intervention.....there you have something to work with. Like...

Serge,

Why did you return FAP Turbo, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks

This will probably sound strange but it was just a gut feeling that something was not right. They seemed more concerned with pushing users to sell more copies with their silly affiliate contests, then they were in making sure the system stays profitable.

With 100,000 people using the same program which initiates trades at the exact same time something's gotta give sooner or later its just common sense. I realize they have updated it so that users have more control now, but I dont think that is going to solve the problem.

Also when it did have a losing trade it was a large loss, usually 2 or 3 days worth of trades, and it would happen fairly often. I guess Im just uncomfortable with a completely automatic EA, just cant be possible unless its updated all the time IMHO.

I prefer the semi-automatic system dealt with in this thread, seems fairly promising but only time will tell.

1. Will this ea exit a losing trade only on the stoploss?
2. Does this ea on exit a winning trade on a takeprofit target only?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If I am using the Firebird EA on the 5 min chart should this MAtimeframe be set to 5. I am using your techinque to drive this ea. I see that the default on this setting is 15.

Also what is the pipsgoal and the pips loss setting for? Also mine is defaulted to 5000 is that the right setting.

Found my answer on post 42.

So far so good. Obviously very, very premature to celebrate lol, but first 24 hours of trading +250 pips

Was a little concerned at one point this afternoon because one GU buy order had dipped down to -100 pips but that one is almost back up to even now.

Anyone else cash in on the nice EurUsd GbpUsd uptrend today?

Hi,

I'm a bit confused. Is anyone still using the original trend tools, or is the THV the new tool for establishing the trend?

I cashed 50 pips on the GBP today. Hoping for a good uptrend push by the end of the day. Still have 6 trades open with two positive and 4 negative. Biggest negative is 100 pips on the GBP

Hi sergie and all,

I think u miss a little information about how to backtest this system,
did u drive it correctly? (even its on backtest)
Use a trade simulation application i post in the few pages earlier to find days when the trend continue up or continue down, or when the trend flat based on the daily THV template. MARK THOSE DATES.
And then drive the EA on backtest based on those date u marked, EACH DAY COUNT, treat it exactly just like when u foward test it, the skill on finding the right direction at the particular date on THV daily template...

i agree, and that is what i done samurai...

i found EURGBP is giving good result since i use SIDUS TREND for me to drive EA LONG or SHORT,

i only change tp with 50 pip, SL with 240 pip and pipstep with 50 pip

we need pair with ranging behaviour like eurgbp, so when trend is change we dont have big drawdown

try to backtest it on eurgbp

btw i use 15m TF

I dont think it matters as long as you can identify the trend. I like the THV indicators provided by Samurai because they give you a ton of info to help make a decision.

Hope this helps

I haven't been using the EurGbp yet with this system. How does it compare? So far I have been using 3 currencies: EU, GU, UsCan, any thoughts on the best currencies?

Thanks

Ps. 550 pips and counting
