Today's goal was the blue line that is the opening of the week, I always leave the opening of the week and the day on the chart, the price returns or consolidates a lot on it.
Another target that I consider is the ADR, which is the red line, is usually not much of it.
Another resistance that I consider is the level that was supported is that of S0.38 of that of the weekly fibonacci.
Note the white ema 5 and yellow 13 the price change is usually at its intersection.
Another more difficult way to do it, but the most accurate is to use consolidation and design fibonacci with the maximum target at 2,618 which is where it normally consolidates and for the price.
I did this on a clean chart below.

Note that if you use the crossing of EMA 5 and 13 which is the configuration of the macd on the M5, it would take a good part of the movement. You can also use the macd property, when it is above the zero line the lines are crossed upwards.

Collected another +85 on USD-CHF. Bit premature with the entry, I was convinced it was rejecting the 200 and nearby SR but should have waited for a close over the 21 before going short again. Price decided to pullback some more (possible news event). Eventually came back round to save the day.

I really missed the Gold trade....I strongly anticipated that huge move up very early before it happened, then I got involved with ChfJpy that gave me entry before the Gold showed up...see my chart below....today is the 7th day of this trade...this trade is running in multiple accounts as well...

I remember somewhere in your post you mentioned you use an EA to bring your SL to BE. If I am not mistaken do you mind to shre that EA pls?

Hey Mike,
Thanks for posting. I am currently trying out 'Trailing with Partial' EA and using the MA 21 EMA or 8 EMA for my SL also testing the 89 SMA. The problem i am coming across is getting stopped out too quick and price then keeps going in my direction. There doesn't seem to be an EA that captures most of the move and closes out at the reversal point. I suspect that Nausting doesnt use any trailing EA and relies on experience alone to know when to get out.
We must learn to understand that DD is a natural part of trading and allow our trades to breath the natural market ebb and flow and then reach our TP.
Most of us newbie traders also have other full time jobs and monitoring a trade constantly is out of the question, hence the need for a bot to get us out before things gets too bad. If you find some good settings or another EA then let us know.

I guess I use the expert adviser one. I am not very familiar with EAs. Regarding exits I go my first TP always 40 pips for E/J and the second TP depends how I feel like your Gold Exit.

I know ADR is a good tool also since shows Average Daily Range. Some people use it.

Targets finally hit

GN open trade, got in well late. I can see the close over the 89 followed by a close over the 200. This is followed by a retest of the 200 MA and a move upwards. This should have been my entry point but busy doing other things. Currently +54 and trailing on the 5EMA ( i changed it from 8)

Trade closed for +65

I accidently found it today on a site which shows price action strategies....
I quickly coded a version of buy when the macd goes down after a high over 0....
The question was how to do sl/tp...
Pips is useless because every pair has different volality... so 10 pips are very different in different pairs...
And fixed sl never worked with high probabilty in my calulations...
You can use a ema 100-200 for tp...
Best for me on a quick test worked cci(14)>100 and vice versa....
Feel free to try out and comment...I ll test it next week....
