Acquiring Backtesting Data

I am a day trader but not profitable yet but lose lesser than before due to proper RIsk management (which I later discovered that it more of a life jacket to keep me afloat).I trade Price Action (Breakout and retest) But in all sincerity, I feel like I still don’t know what I am doing in the market.

I have seen some trader talk about obtaining data to know the win rate of the setup but I don’t know how to go about it. I don’t even know what data to find and how to use it as a trading guide.

If you trade forex , Dukascopy Bank has data (in ticks) . I think you can download it, or you can use their platform to back test.
I use AI to code in Java for their Jforex platform.
If you know exactly, what you do, then AI will make it into an Strategy.

The win rate and other statistics is from your own trading.

Or did you mean something else? What's the data you need?

My problem is I have been Backtesting but I feel like I'm doing it wrongly. What to look for, what to compare and contrast, what to test for in order to come to the conclusion that I have an edge. I don't know. It feel like I'm just wasting my time with any result.

There is many that would like to help, but, we are clueless of what you need.
How are you backtesting? The only way you find out if you have an edge is to "code" your strategy and use "back data" to test it.
If you write and post your strategy, then, maybe I can make (with help of other) a code and find out

How many trades do you have as a data to analyze?
