Great Indicator, EA so so, need help with ea

The following is a great indi I have been using (live account) from another forum. FX Sniper is the author. Didn't get a response there so thought I'd try the factory. Plus you guys seem way more civil here.

I use a 50 setting or higher on the 1 minute chart during London session only. The EA attached is ok. I use it with manual confirmation (we need to use our brains in this game), or have been trying to...however it seems to only give the odd buy or sell signal and not at the close of bar vs what we see on the chart (as many an ea are known to do).

I've posted a snapshot of what we need to accomplish. The EA was posted some time ago and not sure who started it but there is very good potential here.

Anyone who can get this debugged would be my hero!

I wrote my own version, because I did not want to follow the logic for your posted one.

I am including your indicator also saved without the apostrophe because iCustom function does not like it. Just use it instead of yours, it is identical.
Put the indicator in the indicator folder and the EA in the experts folder.

My EA calls it as necessasry. I have no idea if your concept is profitable, but this does what you asked to do in your post.

Here is a version with trading hours inputs. It will only place trades during these hours.

I see plenty of whipsaws on 1m charts.

what are your trade management rules??.

Did you change the CCI period to at least 50? That takes care of whipsaws. Re trading rules I use pivots, TLs and five minute chart for exits. Also a HA smoothed. An entry is usually good for 15-30+ pips. Will post the chart etc @ the end of London session. Currently in a short on the Eur/Usd using this indi among a couple of others. This is my entry indi though.

I would not use this and leave it. In the 4 years I have been live I have yet to see an EA that should. However Combined with trading skills this indi takes a lot of guesswork out.

Also I only trade London session. Don't like getting up @ 1a.m. to do it (I am in CST Canada) but it is worth it.

Attaching other idicators used. The sidewinder will help filter out "no trade zones"

My last entry was taken out for several reasons as well as price touching off a mid pivot which for whatever reason is not showing up on this screen. (I run 2 PC's with 2 monitors in case one goes down in the middle of trading, it's happened, and I have no idea why my other pivot indi does not load on this pc. If you google "Glynn Pivots" you might find it. None the less I will post here and see if it comes through. On the BB Stops change the deviation to 1.

Let me know if you have any more questions. This system works for me and my personality. I don't like setting trades and leaving the screens and I prefer to be in a cash position at the end of every trading day so I can see what I accomplished that day. So this works for me. If I am going to sit in front of screens for 10-12 hrs a day I want to get entries that are solid and consistent.

Thought I would also show a period where one had to make a little bit more of a difficult decision. You'll see the first trade appeared to be a possible down and reversed which I losed 10 pips on. That's part of the game.

It's up to the 5 min charts thereafter and even the 15 if needed.

It works fine for me. I bet you tried the v1.1 first and did not put the indicator I posted in the indicator folder and compile it by either restarting your MT4 platform or by compiling it with the MetaEdtior. Either way, if the first version works, it means you did put the correct indicator in the indicator folder, at last, and the version 1.1 should work fine.

Please note that I said, that this EA uses a iCustom function, drawing it's data from the indicator I posted. Also note as is listed on the inputs in the EA that the start and stop times are broker time. So if you set the start at 8 with IBFX that is 8:00 GMT, or 8:00 London time or 2:00 Mountain central time, because IBFX is on GMT time. So if you want 1:00 Mountain central time, set the start for 7 and then the stop time for whatever you want as the end of trading.

The Version 1.1 is identical to the first version with the exception of the added start and stop hours and it runs fine on my machine with IBFX.

I also tested it with FXPro and is fine and with FXDD and is fine. My best bet is you did not install the indicator when you tested it.

Try it again now and I bet it will work fine.

Thanks much-I have written my 1st EA (less than 10 days from start(no programming exp-to working EA) using MQL4 website and (mainly) examples of others EA's. Your programming seems very well thought out and easy to comprehend-thanks its been great help!

Fingers: Wow! ten days! That's impressive. Coding still seems like "Greek to me". I agree with your statement. Jones is the first I personally have seen to program an ea that executes as the indicator appears on the chart.

Mr pipjunky i did check out your post and the idea seems promising.I am not the person(yet)to code this idea into EA. Maybe Mr "jones" would do it- he seems good and fast. I had so much fun coding my EA( almost ready to forward test)that i didnt trade the last 2 weeks(boo-hoo). I will post my EA so anybody with time can ripp it apart and let me know how it can be improved.

Thanks again for your coding. Both are working excellently.

I have been playing around with the FXSniperT3 EA on demo with various timeframes and all work beautifully. As long as one knows when to take the profit it is making $.

My question is to add to this EA can you program:

1: Email alert notifying of a trade taken (option to turn on or off)
2: A martingale feature with a bit of a twist. Rather than doubling for each losing trade it would calculate the pips lost and add X lots to the next trade average over the take profit.

IE: Trade 1 @ 10 lots loses 30 pips.
Trade 2 is entered with take profit of say 100 @ 10 lots + 3 lots to make up the loss.

The take profit and SL are of course determined on the timeframe and should likely be an optional function.

I am attaching a bare bones chart to illustrate. let me know your thoughts on this and if it is doable. I have played with it on 1M-30Min timefrfames and had success on each with various settings over the last 30 days.

Outstanding EA! Can someone add a stop like PSAR or ATR stop? I think this strategy combined with the Sadukey (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=215512) EA would be a very profitable one. I wish I could code. Where do I learn?
