Disliked{quote} When you have words "sometimes" and "forecast" in one sentence then it is not a trading, it called gambling. Drawing lines and thinking that price will hit it called magical thinking (in medicine it is mental disorder). {quote} Also looking for that chart I can identify that it was rain somewhere in Norway yesterday. And that elephants went to drink some water in Africa. There are no data on your chart to make statement that volume came to the market. But I forgot that you have special abilities and you are not like average human - you can...Ignored
Disliked{quote} As I said, you missed the whole point. There is no orderbook. My point being, you can very well trade without an orderbook, if you know how to analyse price. Here is UJ, daily. Without your magical volume or delta indicator, using your eyes and maybe a bit of your brain, can you identify where the volume started to build up? Can you identify where momentum was gaining? And were there opportunities to take advantage of that increased momentum, without having access to precise tick data? {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Surgeons also usually operate with their eyes closed and use hospital averages. Who cares that this particular patient weighs 200 kg, because the average is 78. And his pressure is over 200, and the average is 120. And he is 120yo, but average is 22. Who cares indeed. Then they ask why "78% retails traders lose all their money". The funniest thing is about custom indicators. What you calculate? Buys - sells using forex fake tick volume? What else you have? What secret sauce you secret custom indicators mix? Forex has no orderflow - you can't...Ignored
Disliked{quote} So what do you suggest is the best way read Forex volume since you debunked everyone's opinion to a fault. RDIgnored
Disliked{quote} I suggest not to trade forex at all because if you can use calculator then you can easy calculate everything yourself. But if you are too lazy to check and try new things and can't live with mt4 and your favorite drawing tools then you can buy some real exchange data. I'm using CME data. So you are looking at real volume on CME, but trade with your favorite casino forex broker. You will be amazed for few milliseconds later everything from CME copy-pasted to show you flashing colored numbers, candles and other visual content.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Thanks for your response! However, when you say calculate, what do you mean? The CME group is largely focused on Futures, and Options Trading. I was speaking solely on the Forex market. Or there are caveats to combining both? By the way, I'm open to your suggestions.Ignored
Disliked{quote} as retail traders Imo all we can do is get deep volume discounts. If you keep getting discounts - target 150 / liquidity - stay strong mentally through the losses then you will make massive $. smart money I assume you mean institutions? you could argue that’s when you see accumulation into discounts (compressions, algo pins etc). BUT there are many “instos” out there and where one insto accumulates a position another insto may squeeze them off it. I think you’ll drive yourself crazy trying to fundamentally trade via options/COT/News analysis....Ignored
