My current broker(IC Markets) shows data only since November 2020 for 5 minute charts(in the Strategy Tester). Is there a way I can backtest an EA for periods earlier than that?
In case your EA can persist with a low deposit for a long period (maybe almost ten years) in the tester, it easily means it can accommodate numerous market prospects.
I was able to backtest 8 years period on IC Markets and all I had to do was to download data under the option tab for 1 min timeframe. The result was also very ok at 90% accuracy.
