Hi Guy,

My Idea for modify this EA:
1.add function for use or not use TP and SL
2.add function for use or not use close all open and pending order after candle end and profit reached ( or over profit setup)

Your suggestions don't make this EA safer.
Run with your money and find another safer strategy.
Cheers

Does anyone have made MT5 version of this EA. This is the best EA actually.
Also if anyone have gone far and created CTrader algo based on this exact strategy? Please share thread.

Thanks in advance dear fellow traders.

I have to say after testing my brains out for days and days, this is quite possibly one of the best EA's I have come across for what many may consider short term gambling, but I consider a statistical eventual windfall. I also think a vps is required to realize results similar to the tester due to its instant execution characteristic..

I like the idea of trading very agressively with a small portion of funds and regularly taking profit (hopefully there will be profit)..

THANK YOU OP, I believe with a fractional risk entry this could be optimized much better, instead of whole integer only, allow 3.25 instead of only 1,2,3,4...... Maybe this could be implemented??

I have found the 35 inc 15 step 3-6% mm on GBPUSD seems to work similarly to the hamster scalper but even better somehow,

1-1-19 to 2-1-19 with 4% turned 400 into 62000 by the 25th, and it doesnt scale up with larger starting balances, meaning it loves small starting balances which is perfect for a turtle mm strategy! doing more testing but this has the hamster scalper beat badly. With 500:1 leverage of course...

After reading more of the thread, I think the biggest differences between experiences are settings and leverage, many talk about settings and different indicators, but I have seen very little about leverage, and it changes the whole character of the ea and therefore changing the outcome for each persons experience drastically, higher leverage allowing those scaling orders toward the right side of the test chart to open instead of getting errors "not enough money" etc allowing huge optimized gains before it "pops"

The leverage and mm % allow you to optimize profit between blowups, the higher the curve goes, the higher probability of reasonable returns being attained between blowups, meaning you could shut it down and take profits, then go again.

I am seeing ridiculous results on backtesting with this for the month of Jan, where enough of a return on a $400 start is realized by the 5th of the month that there is no need to reach the blowup point around the 25th... What is most interesting is what is leftover after the blowup event, still a large positive result in this particular instance. I have read though that this blowup is really caused by open orders closing prematurely by the test ending, and is not actual, so not really sure if the right end of the chart can be taken as literal... BTW, my data is dukascopy derived through tickstory, not sure why it says 25%, as it's complete data...

i added 2 lines of code to this and it's indestructible, even over 5 years. Domain knowledge.
Forex Flash was correct, unfortunately all the doubt stopped him from delivering the full potential of this algorithm.

Please share what you added, I actually found that it blows up very often on longer duration bacj testing so much so that I lost patience testing, and I really like the Spartan bolt as well as the Waddah Attar Win ea, but looks like this is a similar strategy.

I have been messing with this more but have had a hard time keeping it alive from 1-1-18 forward.. almost like January was a special trading month on cable and eurusd.... Several martingales seem to have astonishing results for the month of January 19' but not others, however Spartan bolt is a very robust ea, just trying to decide if it's the best, but I think like many things these ea's must be in the hands of the operator to succeed... So much to learn about this never enough time in the day..

I was liking the idea of this EA but it open too many orders.
I counted ones more than 100 pending orders.
too risky.
what are your improvements?

i did some changes in mgrid and tried it in real account gbp jpy.
in the first 2 weeks i won and then... it opened so many trades and went so big
dd that i had to close all at -800 eur. it was a sad experience to me.
Now im u sing a complete different ea made from scratch by me.
Perhaps there is a solution to this but i could not find it. if someone have some
ideas to change some lines tell in this tread and we will try... good luck to all.

I managed to reduce the amount of times it trades by filtering and adding a custom built signal into it. Now it only enters the market for a reason, Not just math.

i used this logic with market orders not pending.
if you send a pending order and the signal changes direction then you have
to delete the order or close it from the market. i dont like this logic.
i prefer to send market orders when the signal is for buy/sell.

I noticed Spartan Bolt has a "reverse on trend" setting that is using similar logic to what you guys are describing

This is a flaw in the current EA. if you get a signal it won't put a market order straight away but put pending orders based on Increment. I made a change so it puts a market order and the pending orders as well. If things don't go well the grid will act like a recovery mechanism.

I have now put a set limit where it exits all the trades. For example if a draw down of 10% exit all trades. This stops it from creating too many pending orders.
There is also a setting that sets the maximum amount of pending orders that solves that issue in any case .
